Backstory // Ryuu

I was about 9 when me and my mom moved here.

Kingdom city is one of those huge places around here. The only city within states of this country.

The city had beaches, mountains. Forest and woods, hell, even farm.

We moved into an apartment near a park and downtown of the center city

My mom said she use to live here before i was born. I didn't know who my father was, but my mom said he was a good man.

After we got to the apartment, we offloaded and went to the park, that's where i met Ayame. "Hi! I'm Ayame!! " She said to me smiling. "H-hi" i said back to her.

We spent the day talking about our past homes and how i came from absmall town. Just outside of the state, we had farm area but with more populated area. More of a modern farm.

It ended up getting late, so my mom took me back home. As we were walking in the parking lot, we heard yelling from one of the rooms. We walked up the steps and saw two girls get thrown out of an apartment.

My mom introduced us to them, as they did back. We invited them to stay the night as we got settled in, we had a typical dinner and after that it was pretty homeish feelings.

That night i met my bestfriend, Katsumi ramirez. She was pretty shy compared to now

The next day. Her sister died in a car accident. And her abusive father blamed her. Nearly killing katsumi. We were able to step in and get her out of there as she was moved in with us.

Her dad never came back.

Her moving in gave me and her time to bond pretty close, people always could tell we were bestfriends, it was a strange bond we had

But as we got older. We were sent to school.

It was a special sorta school.

Let me just say that i was in a weapons handling class when i was 12, that's when i met him..

"Akiko kunakida!" he said as he held out his hand, waiting for me to shake it

"R-Ryuu... Kunami" i said back, shyly shaking his hand

"So what weapon are you learning? " he asked me "Katana" i replied to him

"Wow! That's awesome! I'm here for staff handling." he replied back "Why staff?" i asked him

"Well, staffs are bulky at the end, perfect for hitting on the head! Plus. Less expected " he told me.

I later found out he was the only one in staff handling. Guess i was the cliché

The school was finished with the day's lessons, and we were asked to show the progress we made. Most kid's failed, and were pushed back. I was up next to show my lessons

"You're up, Ryuu " the teacher said to me

There were targets all around the room i had to hit. I started spinning around, swinging my katana in a pace no one had seen before. I had hit all the ground targets, but the targets on the ceiling of the gym were tricky

Some weird blue aura filled the katana, as it seemed everything was going slow. I closed my eyes, aiming upward as something strange happened.

When i opened my eyes, the targets had been hit. The teacher looked at me in awe, as i had no idea what happened. "You.... Pass..." the teacher said, speechless.
