Pov. Lila

We were what seemed like a perfect family, but in reality there is no such thing. And if there was we were far from it.

My father was a strict and stereotypical man who lived too far into the past. My mother was quiet uniform mother the kind you read about in books. My sister, Melody, was a well behaved and mannered girl who was smart and always on honor roll. Then there was me the black sheep in the family. My name was Lila Lewis Graceton and I was a loud rebellious girl who was considered a disgrace to our family.

It didn't help that we were Jehovah Witnesses. We didn't celebrate holidays or recite the pledge of allegiance, I didn't have wifi or a phone, I didn't even go to public school. I was homeschooled by my mother but my sister went to a private school because according to my father "she showed true potential." Unlike me.

But I learned other things that my sister didn't even know. I knew how to ride a horse, cook and most importantly I knew about my older brother named Germy who ran away from home a few years before my sister and I were born. He was the reason that my father always mumbled under his breath that I was just like "him".

I had always wished I had a brother, and he was perfect. My mother always got upset when I asked about him, but I couldn't help it. Plus it was the only way she could get me to focus.

I had no friends and I lived on a farm it was pretty boring. The only time I was allowed in town was my school time which I spent in my mom's bakery. I asked people their names took orders and answered the phone. What a thrill.

My mom was not as strict as my father though. Once in a while if the shop wasn't too busy she would let me leave not that I had anywhere to go all normal kids were in school. It was like being in a ghost town but I had to be back to the bakery by the time everyone got out of school.

Though a lot of the students came to the bakery. None of them talked to me though I was like an infection that everyone tried to avoid. There was one girl though that worked like clockwork she arrived every day at 3:30 and left at 4:45 with a large cup of coffee with eight cream and eight sugar. She always arrived with a different book and a floral print backpack and she would order her coffee and a plain cream cheese bagel. I don't mean to sound like a creepy stalker but she was so nice and she was interesting. Her name was Jordan I wrote it on her cup in a different font evey day.

After we got home my mother and I cooked dinner. Which I epically failed at but my mom helped me. I loved my mother now don't get me wrong but I had no respect for her my dad pushed her around like a puppet on strings.

I would not let anyone push me around like that. I would not be tied down. I would be free like Germy.

Pov. Melody

Lila was such a stupid, stuck up brat. Who wanted all the attention. I knew I shouldn't have been jealous of her but I was. I had to step up my game in 6th grade and my get all my grades up. But it didn't work at first. Until I showed how smart I could truly be. Then my father finally enrolled me in a real school. It was great I finally got the attention I deserved.

A/N hey guys and girls thanks for reading. I know that it's a little short but I thought that it was a good start. I will try to do a different persons point of view at the end of each chapter. I'll try to continue expanding my writing and I will also continue my "Adoppted By One Direction". Thanks for taking the time to read love you all remember to like and follow. 😘❤😘❤😘
