"So, shall I assume that you are going to ignore me for the duration of this trip?" Ryan asked her, with a glint in his eye.

She simply rolled her eyes at him, and continued reading. The words "touch you" caught her attention. "What did you say? I was ignoring you," she said rather rudely.

"I said would you prefer I just not touch you?" he said, not acknowledging her comment.

"Yes, that is what I would prefer." She proceeded to ignore him while reading her manuscript that she had written and rewritten over and over. She was convinced that she had forgotten an entire chapter to explain the ending.

She noticed the city falling behind them, and Ryan slowly beginning to pick up speed as she decided to collect her mp3 player. She started with a soundtrack that had two tracks by one of the actors. The pseudo sounding music soothed her and she glanced at the speedometer, while giving Ryan and shameful look.

Ryan's POV

"I have never been so nervous around one person in my entire life. What is wrong with me?" he thought to himself, as he saw the look on her face when she saw he was doing well over the speed limit.

Ryan had been known for being the playboy type for several years, when in reality he was still as pure as the fallen snow. He wouldn't admit to that out loud, and only Elliot knew the truth. Ryan had always believed in family values and waiting for love and everything that comes with it.

He already knew that Eliza detested him. Her actions had always proven she would never have feelings for him. Wait a second, what was he thinking? Eliza, Elliot's twin sister? No, they looked nothing alike. He glanced over at her long legs pressed together underneath her skirt. "Snap out of it, man!" he screamed at himself. This was Eliza, the perfect one. When did he suddenly start having feelings for her?

He remembered the second it happen. They were getting out of the car. She slowly got out, and it was like the world slowed down. The wind caught her hair, and all he saw was her long legs and her dark hair. He had to see who he was admiring, and before he knew it he was slapping himself. He couldn't believe that Eliza was so gorgeous. He's never bothered to look at her that way because she was his best friend's twin sister.

How could he be getting all torn apart over one girl? One girl, that was untouchable to him. He knew it had to be because she was untouchable. In the end, he chalked it up to being a challenge that he would have to decline. He was not willing to lose his best friend over a girl, let alone the twin sister.

Eliza's POV

"What is with that goofy looks he keeps giving me? Did he just drool over my legs? Oh, I knew I was going to regret wearing this skirt! Had I known that I would be riding with playboy of the week, I'd have worn pants!" Eliza argued with herself.

The trees were starting to thicken, and the sunlight was barely reaching through them. They had driven through town and most of the way here with the top of Ryan's car down, and the cool air blasting. Now, Eliza shivered at the ten degree drop in temperature.

Did he just turn the heat on? Did I shiver that much to be noticed? She decided it best to enjoy the heat, but that meant getting closer to him. She wasn't going to suffer because of his reputation that she believed to be true.

She leaned over to her left, to soak up the warmth, and was startled when his arm went around her shoulders.

"Excuse me?" she was shocked.

"I packed my jacket. It's the gentlemanly thing to do. You're shivering; I don't want you to be cold."

He was being sweet, but why? Was she missing something? There was no way that this playboy had feelings for her, was there?
