"Five minutes!" I hear.
There are props everywhere
Structures appear
The lights flicker on
And I am hidden
Backstage
Behind
Unable to be seen
I gulp water
Get a pat on the back
"Good luck!"
Thumbs up
The lights fade
19 pairs of footsteps
19 mouthes speak in unison
"But which with you
With patient ears attend
What here shall miss
Our toil shall strive to mend."
I scoot over to let my partner sit
We began.
I do my lines loud and clear
I do the fight Choreography
The scene ends the light darkens
I move off stage
I am back
Hidden in the dark
Many people are here

Fifteen people are practicing lines
Playing their phones
Chatting quietly
I sit there
Alone
My friend comes up and sits next to me
I pull out my phone
We look at the bright screen
It's time for my next scene
I stand on stage holding my tray
I am a servant
But I am a star
I look out into the crowd
I find my family
I see my friends
They wave
I smile
And I begin
I serve food and drinks
I gently bow low
I hold my tray high
The lights darken
The scene is done
I go back
Hidden
Behind the black curtains
Hidden from the crowd
I wait
Wait for my next scene
It comes and I do it perfectly
I'm supposed to be sad
I cry
I gasp
I point
I look down at the floor
The lights darken
Intermission
The lights come back on
I'm hidden backstage
I wait
Wait
And wait
I wait for my next scene
It is now the scene
Before my scene
I have to got to the other backstage area
I open the door
I jog over
And I go inside
My scene begins
I stand there like I am supposed to
I smile and nod
Then I must leave
I exit and go back to the other part
I wait
Hidden in the curtains
I watch
Hidden in the shadows
Then
It's
Time
I go out
It's the last scene
I pretend to be upset
I cry
I gasp
I point
I bow my head

Over
I exit the stage
Only to run back up
I hold my friend's hand
We take a bow
People applaud
We move back
And let other people bow
I clap
They clap
We all go to the front
For one last bow
I'm int the center
I'm in the spotlight
We run off stage and out of the doors
People greet us
They wave
I get roses
Kisses
Hugs
Handshakes
But my favorite thing I got
Was that minute we bowed
