I pressed the cigarette to my lips slowly letting the nicotine consume my body.I felt my muscles relax and my headache clear .This had been my seventh time trying to quit but I failed ,again.I glanced at my cigarette it was almost done and I had 20 minutes left of my free period.

I flicked it to the ground and pulled out a second one.
"You know that's not good for you"I looked up to see James (my ex)staring down at me. " So" I exclaimed a bit harsher than I intended."How are you?" He asked stepping closer."fine" I mumbled flicking my cigarette at his feet." Don't be like that Nick" James grabbed my wrist.I glared at him and he let go immediately." I have to go" I said shoving him aside.

I walked back to class not letting my mind stray to the cigarette I was desperately craving. It was art now and I was pretty pissed that was my worst subject I was definitely gonna fail.
"Ok class please take a seat" Mrs.Young was the only teacher I actually tolerated, all the others were such jerks.I took my seat in the back of the class avoiding the stares and murmurs of my stupid classmates.They always have shit to say.

Mrs .Young sat down just as my phone started buzzing .She  glared my way and I quickly shoved my phone In my bag.It was probably just my mom drunk texting me again.The lesson began and I was bored already.Tapping my pencil I was getting lost in my music.

"Nick!" Someone was moving my shoulder.I hadn't even noticed that I'd fallen asleep." The periods over Nick" Thank god it was Mrs.Young and not one of my stupid classmates." I'm sorry" I mumbled wiping my drool from my chin. " Its alright just please don't let it happen again sweat heart"
I grabbed my things and left the classroom.Thank god it was lunch now and I could leave and go finish what I was working on this morning.I left the school and headed for the garage . "Jackie open up!" I banged on the door." Password" I heard Jackie say on the other side of the door." There is no f*cking password open up" I smiled  I heard him start to unlock all the locks on the door and I flung myself at him."Stop Stop!" He laughed.I jumped off him and gave him a quick peck on the lips."Can I see my baby now?" I asked ." I thought I was your baby" he pouted .I giggled and headed to the back." Hey Zeus" I continued into the back spotting my best friend Zeus." Hey Nick wanna see her ?" He smiled as I jumped up and down excitedly." Ya of course!"he lead me down through a curtain further In the back ." Omg she looks amazing" I was now looking down at my beautiful 1957 mercedes 300sl gullwing.I had been waiting to get her restored forever. " Zeus she looks amazing" I slid into the drivers seat it felt amazing it had that new car smell even though it was older than me.I checked my watch and almost screamed." Shit I'm late got to go" I quickly hugged Zeus and headed back to the front of the garage." I have to go I'll see you later Jackie"I was just about to leave when Jackie grabbed my waist and pulled me onto his lap." Can't you stay a bit longer?" He wined kissing my shoulder." No I have to get back to school in already late" I sighed getting up and kissing his cheek." See you later" he winked as I left.
