Third person P.O.V.

Hermione was packing her trunk to go back to Hogwarts. It's been nearly 4 months since the Battle of Hogwarts and everyone has been invited back to repeat their past year as things didn't go quite as expected. Hermione was just about to go down stairs to eat when her phone rang.
"Hello?" Hermione answered her phone.
"GINNY WILL YOU BE QUIET! Hello? Hermione? Are you there?" It was Ron's voice.
"Oh, hey Ron. Whats up?"
"Nothing much. I was just calling to see how you're getting on. Mum wants me to ask you over to ours for the last week of the holidays. She said it would be nice as she hasn't seen you in ages. GINNY! HARRY! WILL YOU TWO STOP SNOGGING EVERYWHERE YOU GO! PEOPLE ARE TRYING NOT TO GAG HERE!"
Hermione laughed. Typical Ron, always pointing out what others are doing then not realizing what he's doing himself. She suddenly heard Ron screech and Ginny laugh.

"Hermione?" It was Ginnys' voice.

"Ron just spilt tea all over himself" She was still laughing.

"Typical Ron"

"Ginny go away" Ron was back.

"Sorry 'bout that Hermione. And sorry 'bout them snogging. Bloody disgusting it is" Ron mumbled over the phone.

" No it's not Ronald! It's cute. And I'd love to come and visit. Would it be alright if I came by tomorrow? I have nothing to do here"

"Sure. Would your parents mind though? They haven't seen you in ages" 

Hermione began to tear up. She hasn't been able to find her parents to undo the Obliviate spell she put on them in the previous year to protect them from Voldemort.

"No they won't mind. I can't wait to see you again!" Hermione couldn't tell Ron about her parents, she doesn't know why but she just had a feeling that she shouldn't.

"Great! Harry will be so happy! I would let you speak to him but him and Ginny have disappeared somewhere.  I can't wait to see you again! I haven't seen my lovely girlfriend in ages and I don't think that it's fair. Ginny is always around Harry. It'll be good to have some company", Ron says with obvious compassion.

"Yeah. Any ways I have to go and get some lunch. I'll see you tomorrow!"

"Okay, bye babe"

"Ron I told you not to call me that"

"Yeah yeah. Bye" And with that he hung up.

Hermione sat on her bed and began to cry. She has been trying not to think of her parents because she knows that it would make her cry but with Ron  bringing them up she couldn't help herself. She wiped away her tears and went to finish packing. The next day Hermione grabbed all of her things and apparated to the Burrow. As she set her bag on the table she heard a scream.

"HERMIONE!!!!" It was Ginnys' voice. Ginny ran up behind Hermione and hugged her so hard she could barely breathe.

"Hi Ginny. Where's Ron? And Harry?"

"Ron's upstairs and Harry's in my room", Ginny replied.

"Why is Harry in your room?"

Ginny gave Hermione a smirk and winked.

"Ginny you didn't" Hermione said with a very shocked expression. Ginny burst out laughing.

"No we didn't. Harry's helping me to set up the spare bed in my room for you. Ron would kill me if I did it with Harry in the same place as him, or even at all!" Ginny said through laughter.

"Hey Hermione!" It was Ron. He lent in to kiss Hermione but she backed away and turned her head.

"Hey Ron, haven't seen you in ages"

Ron looked confused but let it slide. Then Harry came into the room along with Mrs. Weasley.

"Oh Hermione!" Mrs. Weasley pulled Hermione into a big hug. "It's been lonely without you. You really do keep these three out of trouble, that's for sure".

Hermione laughed and turned to hug Harry.

"Now come on, you all need sleep" Mrs. Weasley said to everyone. 

Hermione and Ginny went to get changed and get washed. 

"So Hermione, how's things with you and Ron eh?" Ginny said, sitting down on her bed.

"Not so well. In my opinion anyway. I just don't think we're right for each other" Hermione mumbled at the end, feeling a little awkward as she is talking to Rons' sister.

"I know what you mean. You obviously need someone who is slightly more sophisticated and polite. Someone who shoves 10 sausages into his mouth at once isn't the right guy for you" Hermione was slightly shocked that Ginny said that but couldn't help but know that it's true. 

"As mean as this is going to sound I'm going to break up with him" Hermione murmured her sentence.

Ginny looked slightly shocked but immediately nodded. "I know where you're coming from. Lets do it now" Ginny got up and walked towards the door.

"What?! Ginny no! I can't do that right now! Ron and Harry are probably asleep and Ron sounded so excited to see me again! It'll crush him if I dump him now!" Hermione was whisper-shouting.

Ginny came and sat next to Hermione who was starting to cry. "I know that you don't want to hurt him Hermione, but if you keep going on like this you're just hurting yourself. Sometimes you need to think of yourself as well as others" Ginny was hugging Hermione.

Ginny somehow convinced Hermione to break up with Ron, when they were standing outside Rons room Ginny went in, leaving Hermione outside.

"Ron, Hermione wants to tell you something. Harry come on, leave them alone." Harry followed Ginny out when she told Hermione just to get it over and done with.

"Hey, what's up Hermione?" Ron asked, sitting up.

Hermione stood there debating in her head, should she wait or just say it. After what seemed like forever, she blurted out;

"I'm breaking up with you!"
