Chapter One: The Arrest

I was driving down highway 87 admittedly I had, had a few drinks but just one or two nothing past the legal limit, I swear! I kept driving I'm pretty sure I wasn't speeding but I could be wrong.

I was almost in the clear when I heard a siren and saw colored lights go off behind me. "Dear God please no I can't get arrested." I thought to myself speeding up. "Just keep going I'm sure he isn't after you, just keep going." I said to myself hoping he would pass but he stayed on my tail.

"Fuck I'm gonna have to pull over!" Angry at myself I kept going for a minute to see what would happen next. "Please pull your vehicle over!" The cop car said already caught up and driving alongside me. "You're not gonna get arrested it'll be okay." Saying this to myself I slowed down to a stop pulling over.

Damn the exit was right there, I should've kept going, to late for that now though." I thought to myself as the officer walked up to my car. "Licence and registration please." The cop said to me already sounding aggravated. "Here you are officer." I said giving him my papers and ID.

"Crystal Swan huh?" He said looking at as if wanting verification. "Yes sir, Crystal Anastasia Swan." I said looking at him wondering if he was going to ask. "Ma'am have you been drinking tonight?" He looked up at me. "No sir not at all." I said making eye contact regretting my decision. "Step out of the car please." I did as he asked shocked as he put me in cuffs!

"You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be held against you in the court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney the court will provide one for you." He continued to tell me my Miranda rights but was cut off by me trying to run. "You'll never take me alive I can't go back to jail!" I yelled as I continued running trying to get as far as my legs could carry me. However, It didn't take long for him to catch up and tackle me.

I was blushing deeply as he shoved me in the back of the car not even conducting a search. "Maybe he was so angry he forgot." I hoped to myself as he started driving.
