It's been five long years
and you're still here
I've got to be honest
I need you to disappear
The bonds that we've made have tightened to my dismay
Because when you dropped me and went away I grabbed the key
I buried it, before setting out to sea
It's been five long years and you're still here
I've got to be honest, It's all that I fear
That you'll be trapped forever dear
with me inside my heart
The bonds we made coil around my lungs
and I worry that you'll see the waves being good to me
And no matter how much it stung to be I've linked my chains to another
so strong
I'm floating by in this time in my life
with true love by my side
Right out of the bonds that tied.
