I rant at the end of this chapter!

"Annie, can you do detention watch?" Mrs Bell, my history teacher asks me as I'm walking out of her classroom.

"Of course I will Mrs Bell," I reply then walk out of the classroom.

My name is Annie Cresta, I'm more of a teachers pet but I still have some friends. Their names are Katniss, Finch, and Clove. I'm seventeen years old and I absolutely hate Finnick Odair, the obnoxious jock who only cares about himself. Katniss is dating Peeta and Clove is dating Cato. Sadly, Peeta and Cato are Finnick's best friends. Which means I have to see Finnick a lot.

"Hey Annie," Clove says as she opens her locker which is beside mine. Her locker is filled with pictures of her and Cato, her and friends, selfies, and pictures of her and her sister, Grace.

"Wanna hang out after school?" She asks as she reaches for her English textbook.

"I have detention watch, but I'll be able to hang out afterwards," I tell her.

"Sounds great, I have volleyball after school anyways, so meet Katniss, Foxface and I in the gym afterwards?" She asks.

Foxface, is what we call Finch because of the way she puts up her hair and she's really sly.

"Sounds great," I say.

She walks away and the bell rings. This is the last period then I have to watch the people in detention, I just hope and pray that Finnick is not in there.

"Okay class! Listen up!" Ms Martin yells, clapping her hands to get our attention.

"We will be doing a drama project, I will pair you up with someone and you will have a topic, you have until May second to work on it," Ms Martin explains.

"Can we do real work instead of projects," Finnick complains throwing his head back.

"Mr Odair, detention for you," Ms Martin scolds.

No. Why today? Why do I have watch today? This isn't fair. Finnick groans. Thank you Finnick, we're finally agreeing on something.

The rest of the class goes by too fast. I make my way down to the detention room. I walk in and see Finnick and other kids I don't know.

"Okay, you may not leave your seats, no talking unless you have a question, read or do homework, if you have a question my name is Annie," I explain then pull a strand of my red hair out of my face.

I go over to the chair and start doing my homework.

   "Annie," Finnick says.

I groan, "What Finnick," I say hatefully what questions would he have?

"Why are you in charge? Where's the teacher?" He asks.

"They put me in charge, now do your work," I tell him.

   "But-" he starts.

I put the pencil down on the desk, "Just do your work like you're supposed to."

The rest of the detention goes through fine, except for Finnick being a trouble maker here and there.
