Together Again
Pain and Torture,
Fire and Flame,
The blade cuts deep,
As I think your name.
One slash here,
One slice there.
Hours ahead,
Red blood still seeps.
It trails down my arm,
Like the heat of a lover’s blazing gaze.
The white rose at my feet,
Now engulfed by crimson.
Drip, drip, drip,
Purity and innocence,
Destroyed within every drop.
I stare hard at the scarlet pool,
While the world becomes a blur.
Looking through specks of black and white,
My vision goes dim until all I see is night.
Lay my head back,
Try to dream a better life,
No more worries,
I’ll be with you soon.
And with that thought,
My soul’s with you.
