Clare's POV

"Clarey, baby girl." I groaned and rolled in my bed. "Come on baby girl." Then I peaked an eye open. I jumped as I saw Derek, wrapping my arms around him. He smiled. "Hey Clarey." He said to me, his breathing deep as if he was trying to remind himself what I smelled like because he had been away so long that he forgot.

"Der." I whispered and sat up in my bed, I slept in a sweatshirt from DC that Derek had got me, saying I was going to need one if I was going to work with him at the BAU. "Your early." I said to him and Derek only shrugged.

"I left early, I wasn't gunna miss my baby sisters 22 birthday." I smiled at him, this time next I would be in the BAU, I had almost finished FBI training. "So baby girl come on." He said to me with a small smile. Then I jumped from my bed to follow Derek out of my room.

"So what are we gunna do today Der?" I asked him while handing him over a bowl of cereal, then sitting and eating mine. He shrugged.

"Anything you want." He said to me and I smiled at him. We had this same conversation every year. He would wake me up on my birthday really early before anyone else woke up.

"You know I finished my training," I said and he looked up at me. I knew he didn't like the idea of me joining the FBI, he knew I wanted to help people but he didn't want me in the FBI, I had heard the stories about how he put his life in danger, almost died, as much as he tried not to tell me, I knew. People at the academy knew Derek Morgan. "I'm sorry." I whispered and he shook his head.

"Don't be baby girl, I'm glad that your helping people." He said to me and I smiled. "But I'm just worried is all, you know how I am." Derek said with a shrug before putting his dish in the sink, along with other dishes I would have to do. "Have you talked to anyone at the BAU?" He then asked me while picking up my bowl.

"I talked to um, Hotch actually." I trailed off and Derek looked up at me confused. "He said he could get me an interview for a different team." I finished and he gave me a harsh look.

"Why a different team?" Derek asked me. "What's wrong with my team?" He asked me and I shrugged. I knew I wanted to work at the BAU, but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do in the BAU. There was nothing wrong with his team, I liked his team a lot based on what I had heard.

"Nothing I just didn't think that you'd like if I was on the team with you." I said looking down. Derek broke into a large grin. "It's your team." I said pointing out painfully.

"Clare," Derek said opening the door for us to leave. "I have no problem with you working with me," The door then shut behind me as we walked down the hall. "Do what makes you happy." He continued and I nodded, Derek broke into a grin. "Now what are we doing today baby girl?" He asked me as I smiled.

"Don't know, lets go for a ride." I said while pulling my knees to my chest in his car, Derek alway did like the big cars, I assumed that he had bought the same one as the BAU used. "I like the car, is it new?" I asked him, Derek nodded.

"Yeah, I just bought it last week or so." Then he shrugged. "Kinda totaled the other one in a case," Derek let out a chuckle. "Reid almost had a heart attack, he's got two stitches in his forehead." Reid, he was the genius on the team. Derek always said he was like a little brother, that he was a bit socially awkward.

"And your still indestructible I see." I laughed out to him and Derek smiled at me. I liked how Derek and I were, we joked around and pushed each others buttons. Then I poked his shoulder while we turned a corner.

"Yeah, so when are you coming to DC?" He asked and I swallowed, I wasn't sure if I was ready to go to DC, if I went to DC, I would have to meet Spencer. If I met him then it became real, when it became real then he would leave. The only people who have stayed with me was Mama and Derek, but Derek left to go to DC, years ago.

"Not sure." I whispered pulling on the necklace. The necklace that Spencer had sent me. I could see Derek looking at me but I didn't say anything.

"You could stay with me," Derek said with a shrug of his shoulders. "So any boys in your life?" He asked me and I swallowed. Looking down and I saw a large smirk help on Derek's face. I then shook my head, he and I both knew we were lying but neither pointed it out. This was the first time Derek had been home since I met Spencer. "You sure?" He asked me and I swallowed, I knew he would push until I told him.

"Okay, maybe there is." I whispered and Derek pushed my shoulder lightly with a grin on his face. I smiled shyly.

"What's his name?" I then swallowed and looked down to my feet. I didn't want to tell Derek about this. He wouldn't like the fact that I had met this guy online. He would worry and he would tell me not to talk to this guy, and he would want to talk to him. And I couldn't let him do that, Derek would scare Spencer.

"Derek." I said in a somewhat whinny voice, he sighed and nodded. Derek then licked his lips before not saying anything else.
