Repeat

History repeats itself,
a wise man once said.
That saying was placed high on a shelf,
but that had not seemed to prevent much bloodshed.
But sadly no had listened,
thus history repeats like an old record.
To a song,
people slowly stopped to listening to.

Do you not believe me?
Come and join me and we shall discuss,
how history echoes as if inside a cavern.
It's message kept bouncing,
back and forth.
Until it's announcing,
was less than what it was worth.

World wars,
both one and two.
Who won,
may give you a clue.

Two men,
Both fighting for the side they believed in.
But it was against the main power,
and only one could win,
The other had to bear chagrin.
These two were E. Lee and Washington,

Now you may realize,
even though this is a popular phrase.
Many make decisions unwise,
that someone is past has done as well.

Listen here,
for you will be able to predict the future.
If you recognize the trend that will never end,
How history is repeated through ignorance.

As a wise man once said,
history repeats itself.
Let us hope this saying will spread.
And says another man important to humanity,
that repeating the same behaviors and expecting different results,
is the definition of insanity.
