Different
(A Manifesto)
"Everyone is different. But we should be. The world would be colorless if we were all the same." ~Imagination34~ {Veronica Tanner}
You don't mock me to my face,
But I read between the lines.
You scoff at all my actions,
That I do with independent pride.
I may not be the same,
But what jurisdiction do you hold?
I make mistakes in your eyes,
Of things which I am told.
To no one I am perfect,
And if I am I doubt.
That the words they use are truthful,
Meaning much.
Inside and out.
I slip and fall often,
On the sludge of all your lies.
But never once do tears fall,
I'm too smart to cry.
The words you use don't hurt me,
They only hurt what I am.
But there are nights I stay up praying,
For someone who understands.
For others I'm a friend,
An acquaintance at the least.
To some my difference is relation to an ugly beast.
For some my name is a complement,
Kind like the rest of me.
To others it's an insult,
A brand new teasing game.
You laugh because I'm DIFFERENT
I laugh because you're all the SAME

Different (A Manifesto)
PoetryThese may be just some poems, Something to help you through. For the Manifesto contest, I wrote this just for me and you. I usually write songs so poetry feels right at home. My writing makes me different, But I know I'm not alone. <3 ~Imagination...
