Kirito's POV

Jeez. Today's boss rooms increased to level 60 when Asuna's oath leader transferred us to the next level and we had to upgrade the skills for our army. Asuna took 2nd base while I took 1st. It was a hard battle due to the giant lizard lion named Venom. After the battle, I went to look for Asuna and had seen her with this boy about the same age as I am. He had blond hair and hazel eyes. The way Asuna looked at him made me cringe a bit.

*Asuna turns around and catches Kirito's eyes*

"Uh. Hey Asuna!" Kirito scratched the back of his head.
"Hey." Asuna smiled.
"Oh. Meet my friend, Lincoln."
"Hello there, Lincoln." Kirito waved his hand.
"Hey." Lincoln replied.
"Lincoln was captured by the laffing coffins when he was 12. He got away by the help of Klein's group when he was hunting for boars." Asuna explained.
"Yes. That's the reason why my parents were killed. They had no chance of fighting them. It was useless. I was useless..." Lincoln looked down.
