Messed Up Love (Chapter 1)

  Okay Here goes nothing! Btw I will mainly be writing this in 1st person. I know its weird but I like to be different sometimes! Hope you like the story!

   Peridot: 

     I was a regular gem with a regular life up until I met her... Jasper. She's a pretty buff gem with strong arms and legs and shes really tall. She has a bright orange skin tone with dark orange stripes going around her body. She has large, fluffy white hair and she wears a black jumpsuit with velvet red on the chest area and in the middle she has her yellow diamond sibling that she is one of Yellow Diamond's subjects. Shes one of the senior warriors though she still acts like shes the boss all of the time. 

   I was at the assembly because Jasper was assigned a huge task. She was to go to a place called Earth and take down a group of defective clods who call themselves the Crystal Gems. They supposedly have a creature whos half gem and half human and is also the child of Rose Quartz and calls himself "The Steven." I had just got seated in the crowd right before Yellow Diamond came out on stage and shushed the crowd. She was a very large gem. Even bigger then Jasper. Maybe even ten times Jasper's size. "As you all know I have given my most trusted warrior the task of going to Earth and taking out a group known as the Crystal Gems. I will let Jasper choose two gems to go with her in her aid." Jasper stepped forward and scanned the crowd, her eyes narrowing to choose the gem who would aid her on her mission to Earth. Her eyes fell on me and smiled. Oh no! Shes looking at m- 

    "You! Whats your name?" Her loud voice boomed inside the auditorium.

     "P-P-Peridot" I stammered.

     "Come forward. I choose you to aid me." She said. I slowly stood up and shimmied my way to the stairs. I walked up onto the stage and stood next to Jasper. 

    "You don't seem like a fighter. Whats your specialty... Peridot?" 

    "I *gulp* I mainly work with technology..." I said shakily. I had never been away from homeworld before.

    She hummed then finally said, "Yes, Yes, you could be useful. Now for my second gem..." Her eyes scanned the crown once more then fell onto a blue gem. She was tall and skinny. Her hair was short and a dark blue. She has wings made of water which is why she sat away from the other gems as to not soak them. Jasper narrowed her eyes and pointed to the small gem.

    "You. What is your weapon and name?" She boomed.

    "L-Lapis. Lapis Lazuli, and my weapon is water. I can control it to make any form I wan-"

    "Your hired! Come forth onto the stage." The little blue gem stood up slowly as I had done and walked onto the stage. She looked at me with a worried gaze that said, " This is not going to be fun!" And I returned her gaze.

    "If all of that is done you are dismissed. Jasper, Peridot, and Lapis Lazuli, I want you three to talk with me after everyone is out in private. Do you understand?" Yellow Diamond said. All three of us nodded in unison.

    As all of the gems hurried out I imagined being in the crowd of relieved gems, glad they hadn't been picked. But I was not one of those gems. I was picked and I could possibly never see home world again.
