The tears streamed down my face. My vision blurred so I could barely see the tiny screen in the darkness of my room. The words on the screen saying my worst fears. I'd been reading the text over and over all day, just trying to make sense of it all. You were finally ripped out of my life. Although I gave you a push, you didn't fight back. You left willingly. I found out later that you had cheated on me with my friend. You promised me you never would. Now I'm sitting here, begging you to give me a sign that everything you said wasn't a lie. Begging you to show me that I was just the slightest bit as important to you as I thought I was. But you're not here. (Were you ever even here to begin with?) And no one is wiping the tears off my face. As I sit here in this cold, dark room, I ask you... Spare me.
