Heyy. I've got a tragic romance poem similar to Masquerade for you... Except with my normal rhyming scheme. Personally, it creeps me the hell out. xD
Enjoy!
A broken clock on the mantel
The seconds stuck on repeat
Its sound is soft and wavering
Two hearts stutter to one beat
Hands drift pensively 'cross the face
Unsavoury eyes savour numerals
Hide behind a smiling face
And plan each other's funerals
Deep tangerine contingencies
Trace the cracks with your lips
Mock the blue eyes of the sky
To which your soul still grips
A broken clock on the mantel
Watch as the seconds restart
Laughing along to the beat
Of your single, bloodied heart
[Question: What does the colour orange, particularly dark orange, represent?]
