My whole family was having dinner. This might be a too normal thing to say especially if your kingdom was at war. Father (or King Charles VI) sat on the very end on his grand seat and mother (Queen Sophia II) sat at the opposite end. My 2 older sisters (Charlotte and Stella) sat next to each other and my brother (Sam) was near dad. The rest of the chairs was filled with Consuls, Governments, Lords, Dukes, Sergeants, Captains and all kinds of other important roles. Things were never normal at meals like this now-a-days.
I'm assuming dad wanted to talk to everyone about strategy plans for the war. As a 15 year old girl, you would expect to spend a little more time with your parents than never seeing you parents. I've never got anyone to talk to except for Wesley. We did everything together and I mean everything until he...well, died in the war. I mourned over him for more than a month. He was an apprentice/ guard in training. He taught me how to fight with a sword, use a bow and arrow, draw spells, tame my elemental horses. Well not horses to be exact if they have special powers. He was the closest thing I have to a friend, in fact, he was my best friend, forever and always.
Flashback
"You okay?" A boy with caramel hair and sapphire blue eyes asked me. He was dressed in metal armor yet he was my age, perhaps a few months older. "I-Yeah." I said, stumbling over my words. I felt awful. I can't do anything to help. My day says that a princess doesn't need to fight. I doesn't need to protect myself from danger, I have guards to do that. Even though that might be true, as hard as I try to believe that, I still feel useless. At this point I was already crying. I'm 8 and if there was one thing I knew about myself, it was that I didn't like crying. "Do you want me to help you fight?"
"How did you-?"
"Magics of the Sorcerers. Wait, you don't be any chance to be Princess Celesta, are you?" I nodded my head, indicating I was the 3rd princess, youngest etc. "Well I'm in luck, aren't I? Wesley Parkston at your service."
3 Years Later...
Today was my last training session with Wesley. I dodged his attack then blocking it when he attacks again. I used all my strength to push him back as far as I could. I tried to aim for his shoulder but I was blocked by Wesley's sword. When he was least expecting it, I pinned him down with my other hand. He smiles. I knew he was letting me off, majorly, but he knows, I know, that I'm getting better. I gave him a hand to let him stand up and embraced him tightly. "Hey, Celeste." He said trying to soothe me. He was one of the warriors in the army and he had to go to fight. "Why do you have to go?" I don't want you to go." I sobbed. I always hated crying but in front of Wesley, I felt like I could open up to him more than anyone else. "Why do you have to go? Of all people, why you?"
"Look at me Celeste." He lifted my chin up. "Your kingdom needs you to stay, your kingdom needs me to go and fight but no matter how far away, wherever we are, we'll still be the best of friends."
Flashback Over.
"Daughter, I need something." Father ,well, more like commanded me rather than asked. Everyone already left except for the family. "You are going to get married to the Scaleswind Prince. He needs a new wife and you are of age. The kingdom is starving, we are at war and we need all the help we can get. Your siblings have already agreed to marry the prince/princess of different kingdoms." The Prince of Scaleswind had 5-6 different wives and they were all executed, divorced or dead. He was a ruthless, selfish, terrible man and father is forcing me to marry him. Marry him! "I won't." My siblings were shocked to hear me disobey my father, my mother gave me the 'look'. She doesn't want me to get into a argument with my father otherwise bad, bad things will happen. "If that's the case," said my father sternly, "Then I shall have to banish you from Narcrisa, never to come back. I will not be your father."
BINABASA MO ANG
The Missing Princess
FantasyCelesta was never a 'proper' princess. Of course, being a part of one of the biggest royal families, she needs to learn the ways of the Angel, ways of the Demon, the ways of the Keeper, the ways of the Warrior and the ways of the Sorcerer and their...
