Ch.1 Hello Winter!

It's winter..... A cold winter. I have been waiting for winter to come. It's my favorite season of All Time! I would always rather play in the snow and make snow angels than rather make sand castles and get sand all over my legs and in other places which any normal girl wouldn't talk about in public! I don't know i have always just been that type of girl that would rather have a hot cup of cocoa over ice cream. But then again who wouldn't want a nice cup of chocolate delicacy with little marshmallows floating up top the cup. Just being in my warm house with the blankets gently covered over me and a good book at my side( or other cases a remote..). Makes me feel happy and safe to be there and the season just makes it better. I love to look out the window in the morning and see the beautiful blanket of sparkling white laying across my yard as if meant to be there. Maybe if I was lucky, I would see the beautiful male red cardinal resting on my small cherry tree next to the garden. I smile, now knowing that beautiful season had come to me. I put on my scarf, a thick black felt coat and a red beanie a top my head, with the essential snow boots on my feet. I opened my door and looked out at the white wonderful world around me. I couldn't believe my eyes, the snow seemed even prettier than last year. Probably because it's been such a long time since I have been near my dear winter wonderland that Father winter has given me. I blush lightly at the thought making the cool breeze flow even cooler across my soft skin. I stepped off my porch lightly and pushed my foot deeply into the snow. I smiled and jumped into the snow and layed on my back giggling. I heard the neighbor dog barking and looked up and saw her running at me. I flinched my arms up as she stopped and licked my face and pawed at my side while I lay helpless on the ground in the snow struggling to get away from her kisses. "Duchess !" I yell out. She stops and stands up straight wagging her short stub tail. I look at the young lively springer spaniel. I laugh and sit up straight and scratch behind her floppy soft ears. She takes my good scratches pleasantly. My neighbor walked out of their house and said "C'mon Duchy get off of them. " Duchy jumped back and trotted to her owner. " well good morning, how has your morning been so far? "I asked. They chuckled. "Not the greatest picnic. How can you love this season?" I giggle "I just can, it's how I was made... made to love the winter air." They growl and say "Well I'm going back inside so can you keep Duchess company out here?" I smile and slowly stand up from my seated position. "Of course I can I love being with her." They huff and slowly walk back to their house as Duchy walked over to me and stood at my side. I giggle and patted my legs. She happily responded with a wag of her tail and a jump of joy. I run along and across my yard with the wild dog fastly running along with me. I laugh as I trip and fall into a blanket of snow. The dog runs up and licks my face once more. I push her away and laugh as I sit up straight and dust off the snow. I look up to see Duchess is wagging her tail and barking up a tree near the house. I walk over to her and scratch her ears. "What is it girl?" she wags her tail and looks up the tree. I look up the tree and see nothing in it. I move my head around to see if maybe there was a squirrel or maybe a bird. Nothing.... hm... I stare blankly at the tree and shrug. I pat Duchess as I walk away and she trots along with me. I pause and look back at the tree hoping maybe a different perspective would show me something. Still nothing but I did see a little snowflake fall from the sky. It flew across the cold winter air, floating lightly and swiftly. It soon came right in front of my face I watched it as it softly and coldy touched my nose and vanished quickly. I smiled and blushed as I looked at the sky and smiled brightly. I walked over to the neighbors house and clicked on Duchess's leash that was tied to the tree, So she wouldn't wander off somewhere. I scruffed her head and walked back over to my home. I smiled and was about to open my door when I suddenly felt snow fall onto my head. I stood there frozen with my eyes closed shut tightly and my cheeks puffed up. I laughed and shook off the snow and looked up at my roof which showed that some of it fell off from there. I walked back further out into my yard too look up ontop of the roof to see what caused it. I soon heard laughing and looked around to see who it could be. I saw no one for the longest time but then looked up on the roof to see a boy laughing and sitting on the frozen shackles of my roof. " HEY! You Shouldn't Be Up There! It's Dangerous!" I yelled to him. He looked up and stared at me for a moment but then ran away the second he got and ran to the other side of my roof. " Hey Wait! " I said worried for him that he fell off. I ran to the back of my house. " Are you a-" I stopped to see no one was there and was very confused. I looked in the snow for tracks but nothing was found. I shrugged and wondered if it was merely my imagination. I slowly walked back to the front of my house pondering on how he could have disappeared like that. I walk into my home slowly and take off my necessities gravely lost in thought. My mom looked over at me confusingly. She chuckled "Are u alright Y/N?" I look up quickly and smiled. " Yeah I'm alright mom just lost in thought." I walk in and lay back on the couch. Still thinking about that boy. Who could he have been and how did he disappear without a trace? All of these thoughts were swarming my mind and almost couldn't ponder the idea of what had just happen. But I decided that maybe I should think about it later in the day, right now I need some breakfast!
