The Blind Date (A Markiplier Fanfiction)

Chapter 1: The Move

     "Hello mom. Yes I'm leaving for the airport now. Just checked I have everything I need. Please don't worry mom I'm moving in with Carly; remember her from when I was in high school? Ok bye mo- yup I love you too. Ok bye." I hung up and put my phone in my bag. Today was the big day. I was leaving Vermont and moving to LA to advance my career in acting. Ever since I was a child I've been in all my school musicals or plays and I loved it. The drama program was basically my life, until high school ended and my parents forced me to go to college for something I didn't want to do. My major was biochemistry, I was good at it but I hated it so much. My parents said that if I finished college and still wanted to be an actress after then they would let me go. I looked at the clock and realized that I was going to be late for my flight if I didn't leave now. I sprinted out of my apartment complex to the bus stop. The airport was only two miles away so I should arrive on time.
     Once I arrived at the airport I went through all the security which took forever and now I'm waiting in the lounge for the plane. Surprisingly I got there just in time and the plane arrived a couple of minutes after I sat down. I boarded the plane and took my seat; I was seated next to a nice old couple. The plane ride was going to be long; at least 5 hours. I put in my earbuds and fell asleep.

     "Excuse me, miss? The plane has landed its time to wake up." The flight attendant tapped my shoulder a couple times. I got up and collected my bags from the overhead shelf. I walked off the plane to baggage claim and got my luggage. Carly is supposed to meet me at the airport's Starbucks. Excited to see her, I started to speed walk to the food area.
     "OH MY GOD ROSE!" Carly screamed from the Starbucks entrance and ran over to me,"How have you been I haven't seen you in so long?"
     "I'm great. Thank you, so much for letting me stay with you while I find an apartment."
     "Oh no problem, it will be so fun!" We walked out of the airport and to her car. It took 30 minutes to get back to her apartment building. It was huge.
    We went into the building and took the elevator up to the fourth floor. She took out her keys and started to walk towards room 403, which I'm guessing is her apartment. She opened up the door and oh my god, the apartment was gorgeous. I walked in and I was in this huge living room with a beautiful fireplace, the kitchen was very modern, and there was a spiral staircase going up to the second floor.
    "Oh my god Carly this place-it's amazing. It must cost a fortune!"
    "Yeah it does, but my dad is paying for it while I try to figure out my job situation. I'm having a bit of trouble getting a job here. There's so many opportunities but I uh don't know what I want to do. Damn, I should have gone to college." She scoffs.
     "You don't need to go to college to find out what you want to do." She sits down on the couch and I sit next to her.
     "Yeah I know," she starts to tear up," but I just want to do SOMETHING with my life instead of going from dead-end job to dead-end job. It's so stressful." I pull out some kleenex from my purse and hand it to her. She nods a thank you.
     "Well uh, you're very good at doing nail art and hair. Maybe you should try that?" I look over to her waiting for a response.
     "Oh my god, I never thought of that. I would love to work in a salon."
     "Yup and when we were on our way over I saw that the nearest salon is hiring!! You should totally go tomorrow." She turns her head and looks at me with a smile, her eyes were still red and puffy.
     "Thanks, this is why you are my best friend Rose" she gives me and hug and gets up from the couch.
     I think I'm going to like it here in LA. I'm living with my best friend, I'm pursuing the career I want to do and who knows maybe I'll find someone....

So this is the first chapter of my story and I hope you guys like it so far even though there isn't that much. But anyways this is my first story I've ever written on Wattpad so don't hate if it's bad, I'm learning.
