She lay on the frigid earth, crimson blood soaking her once pure white dress, and covering her beautiful, pale face. The happy glowing light that once lit her eyes was now gone, replaced with eyes that lay open glazed over and never to be alive and glowing again.
She would be forever alone letting the dark, black void of nothingness swallow her and leave her feeling nothing, no emotion, no pain, nothing. But there was one thing she thought about as she drifted into a sleep that lasted eternity, she thought about him.
His face, his laugh, his beautiful stormy grey eyes staring into her soul, leaving her striped, as if he could see everything, every little crevice and every hidden secret she tried to hold and keep to herself, but he saw, he saw everything.
All around her was pitch black except for a glowing, bright white trail leading somewhere, she was desperate to get away from the darkness and step into the light. But something stopped her, a lovely familiar husky voice made her take a step back.
"Fay.... please, if you love me, please don't leave me alone.... I wouldn't be able to live without you.... my life would be meaningless without you holding my hand and leading the way.... please come back...."
She could feel herself slowly walking toward the light, but she also felt warm, large tears spilling onto her face, slowly dribbling down into the moist soil underneath and around her.
"Faylen, I didn't mean to hurt you....my wolf took over....and, I, I'm so sorry Faylen, please forgive me." The man leaning over her whispered, leaving her confused, what wolf? As she stepped into the light she suddenly remembered, she remembered how his eyes turned into liquid blackness, as black as the darkness that once engulfed her.
She remembered how his nails turned into sharp claws as they tore into her skin, tearing it apart easily. She remembered everything, and yet, she held no remorse for him, she couldn't hate him. Slowly, she opened her eyes and took in the sight above her, she saw the love of her life leaning over her, her head in his lap. His eyes were shut tightly to keep the river of tears in, she reached her hand up and stroked his face,
"It pains me to see you cry darling, please, smile for me." He put his hand over hers and nuzzled into her palm, breathing in deeply, he opened his eyes and saw her smiling up at him brightly, unfazed by what happened. "I called the pack doctor, he should be here shortly.", he whispered, love showing clearly in his stormy eyes. The girl under him frowned, "Pack doctor? Don't you mean ambulance?", a frowned was etched on her face, making the man reach down and smooth out the lines of worry and confusion.
"About that....." He started smiling down at her, "There's something I need to tell you."
Tell me what you guys think please! Let me know if you want me to continue this or give up, I already have the whole book planned so it won't be a problem. Thank you for reading!
