Imaginate chapter 1 By Madison Ingerson

It was a beautiful morning in Indiana, I wasn't a fan of the state since I was born in Pennsylvania, but it wasn't that bad. The weather was warmer and the schools were better so I couldn't complain that much.

Anyway I walked out of my room to the kitchen and got some cereal, the house I lived in was a rental and there was only one floor so I didn't really like staying there, but it was better than nothing...right?

As I ate I thought of my world, I always like to go there when even ever I was bored or upset. As I thought I pictured a field full of my own creations, most of them where just 2 to 3 animals mixed together but it was still pretty cool.  In my world I was the ruler, but it wasn't hard as it would be in real life.

    I imagined in I was meeting with my favorite charter from a show I watched named Mal, he was the leader of the knights, some of the guards had been slacking off letting criminals into the kingdom, so he wanted to discuss what I could do to help. "If the guards aren't doing their job then why don't you fire them" he asked. "Well" I began "if we do that then who will take their place it could take months to find new guards, tell them the more criminals that come into the kingdom the less money they will earn." We both argued for a bit then we finally agreed to tell them if the guards don't do their jobs there payment will go down .1%.

After a few days the guards got angry, so we went to court. "We don't deserve to lose money" one of them said "it's not fair." "Unfair you say, why should you earn money for not doing your job?" They looked at each other not sure what to say. "Well, if you don't turn down this ruling we will let every criminal in the world through." They smirked thinking I would turn it down, but I still had a few tricks up my sleeves.

"Well" I started "if you do that you will earn no money at all, and you will lose your jobs, in fact if you don't guard the gates I don't think anyone will hire you." They froze, I knew all they really cared about is money, so this was pretty scary for them. "You're as cruel as the evil queen." They spat, they knew the evil queen was the cruelest being in all the land and so did I knew she would have done much worse. "If the evil queen was ruling she would have your heads set ablaze.

    He crowd went silent, they knew I was right, everyone looked at the guards to see how they would respond. They sighed they knew they couldn't win. "...we are sorry" one of them said "we will do our jobs and obey your command" after the agreement everyone went home, and that was it.

    I woke up the next day and I felt a little bad of the guards so I walked to Dawn who made potions for the village. She gave me some energy muffins and I walked to the guards to give them some I finally went to the guards and at first they weren't very happy, until they saw I had muffins. I set them down on a tree stump "these are energy muffins" I said "said these would help you."

The next day I woke up from the sound of screaming. Quickly I ran down stairs and saw everyone running into the castle. I ran to the first person I saw and asked them what was going on.
    Everyone was running to the castle for safety. I saw Noah, who is the most brilliant person in the village. I ran over to him as fast as I could "But why are they" "the evil queen she came back and now everyone is looking for you." After hearing this I ran out of the building, and was stopped in my tracks. "Well look who it is" the evil queen said "it appears to be the one who banished me" "I had my reasons" I spat. "Well now I'm back" she said "and I want revenge, meet me at the arena at dawn or see the kingdom fall in front of  You

It was almost dawn! I quickly ran to the arena, and when I got there the doors shut, I knew there was no escape. A saw the smirk on her face, I had no clue what kind of duel it would be, but I knew I had to do all I could to win. I heard the announcer "this duel will be a magic duel, the loser will be banished from the village and the winner gets the kingdom." "Magic" I thought "it's been so long since I've used my royal powers." The first and only round stated it was my turn. I closed my eyes and started a flare of light magic in my hand the size of a pearl, but once it got to the size of a golf ball it stalled and flickered. I through it to the ground but the only thing that emerged was a flower.
