She still couldn't believe that she had gone up to the coolest girl in the school and asked her out. Not even a popular cool girl but one who just gives off the feeling that you shouldn't mess with her because she has her shields up and you won't be able to break them. It had always made Winter more intriguing to Alex. With her white dresses and patterned tights, the white blond of her curls, it sparked curiousity in Alex because she wanted to know her better and maybe even begin to understand the girl that couldn't be cracked. The only things she knew about Winter was the gossip she heard during passing from teachers, students they only talked about her participation in class, her grades, her nickname The Ice Queen or how her style was so different but it worked and what she herself saw when she was around Winter. Everyone except her friends was intimidated just by her looks and would never walk up to Winter, much less ask her on a date.
Alex had braved the stares of everyone including Winters group of friends and done what no one else could do. She had walked straight up to the ice queen herself and asked, "Winter, would you be interested in seeing a movie with me sometime?"
Winter had turned her bright crystal blue eyes on Alex and replied in a voice like cool ice, "Well I guess I could clear my calendar for you." She looked amused with what was happening. Alex couldn't believe her luck, she had agreed! She never agreed with anyone, like ever, this had to be a first. Realizing that she was just standing there like an idiot, Alex quickly muttered "Ok great." And then hurried away before she said something stupid, listening to the snickers of Winters friends until she was out of earshot.
The end of the day had come and Alex was regretting quickly walking away from Winter now because she had no way to contact her about the movies. Alex couldn't believe how stupid she could be sometimes, it wasn't that hard to ask for someones number.
"Hey sugar, you owe me a movie date," said a familiar voice, that scared Alex half to death. Almost jumping out of her skin, she whirled on the person who had scared her. It was Winter, leaning seductively against the brick wall of the school. She looked like an ice goddess with her slim yet curvy body, that would make anyone melt in her arms. Winter's voice interupted her thoughts, "Helloo? Alex right?"
Alex flushed and and stammered out, "Uh, yea Alex but my real name is Alexandria if you prefer that." She looked suprised at that and then took a thoughtful expression. "Alexandria." She said it slowly as if trying it out for the first time. "I like it. So about the movies, are we going tonight or some other time?" She quickly dismissed any sign of liking Alex and showing the person on the inside.
She gracefully peeled off the wall and started walking torwards the parking lot, grabbing Alex's wrist as she walked by, dragging her along, not giving her a chance to answer.
"I assume you were heading torwards your car," Winter said in a nice soft voice that was unknown to Alex. "Well yes, but I just remembered that my mom drove me to school this morning."
"So thats why I was able to park in my parking spot today. Did you know that for the past two years we have been using the same exact parking spot? Or at least fighting for it." Winter looked amused at Alex's suprised look.
Alex couldn't believe that Winter was the one she had been fighting with for the parking spot. "I had no idea honestly, I always assumed it was some rude guy."
"It was until this year." Seeing Alex's confused face she explained, "I have an older brother and last year he drove me to school since I couldn't. Anyways, you ok with going in my car?" She kept brushing things off as if they didn't matter at all and it was driving Alex crazy that she was refusing to open up. "Sure why not. What movie do you want to see?" Winter actually took her time with this response, it wasn't until they were in her car about to drive away when she answered. "There's this new movie that is supposed to be amazing because of the storyline, one of my friends told me about it." Winter started explaining the movies details from what her friend had toled her, and even though Alex was able to nod when she was supposed to, she couldn't hear a word of what the other was saying. She was paying more attention to the curve of her mouth so when Winter actually asled her something it took a few tries to get her attention.
