The Eclipse

The Dream - Prologue

A long stretch of the silvery, grey corridor and a seemingly impossible purple and bronze carpet with precise details of swirly golden and silver infinite symbols, at the end of the long stretch was a sun and moon intertwined like a melodic dance with the perfect partners. One girl ran along the hallway, her dress perfectly detailed to her body, the pattern was so intricate it looked almost like it was moving on its own, the design of the dress was a long, black silk gown with a line at the bellybutton then up to the shoulders a dark, navy blue diamond patterned breast cut and sleeves going down her slender arms to halfway down her forearm, the final touch on her elegantly flowing dress was the silver thread leading to the center hem of the dress, on there lay a palm sized, beautifully stitched moon that glowed with a magical dark essence. Then there came the second girl chasing after the one in the black ball gown, her dress was detailed with white lace across her shoulders, leading half way down to her arm's, the elegant white, lace dress had a detailed crossover of lace and white silk designed into a beautiful love heart breast cut, golden stitches of a sun with its orange, silk flames gracefully dancing around the circle of pure golden threads in the dress were moving with the same realistic witch craft that made the dresses patterns glow and move by themselves.

"Artemis Cyra-Nightingale Solstice, come back here you little-" The second girl exclaimed, "Uh uh ah Lily-rose Kyra Solstice no naughty words you know how Madame Autar Stonend will scold you for not being a pure sun!!" Artemis scolded sarcastically while running further away from the older sister Lily-rose, or as she calls her Lil's. sprinting down the hall in their fancy ball gowns and turning corners hoping to lose the other on their tail, suddenly two muscular, tunic less, bootless and knightly looking men appeared and ran in unison after the two girls, both around their age, one of the dashing men was a healthy looking, hazel nut hair, dark ocean blue eyed with a hint of innocence, some brown stubble on his chiseled chin. The other knights appearance was as such, a mix of an Asian and white skin colour, his eyes were a mix of emerald and Jade green, his hair was a creamy dark brown with hints of black, they seemed to be chasing after the girls and the contents they had in their arms.

" COME ON LILY RUN, RUN OR THEY'LL CATCH US" The one in black screamed to the one in white, almost dropping the shirts and boots. Lily stumbling over the hem of her dress.

"I'm coming, Artemis, I'm coming." Lily yelled back. While trying to regain her balance. Key word 'trying'.

"Come on you two, give them back or else!!" The guy with green eyes shouted. They were gaining on the girls fast.

"Or else what? You know you can't do anything!" Lily-rose yelled

The guys the knights who were chasing the two girls were named Axel Winchester and Nathaniel Seung, Axel was in fact the knight with ocean eyes and Nathan was the knight with the half Korean appearance.

Out of the corner of Artemis's eye she spotted a door only cracked open the tiniest bit, but enough for them to escape through and lose the boys on their trail. Passing another edge of hallway Lily spotted what her sister was running at and was less adventurous about fitting through it compared to her other kin, so being the intelligent princess she was quick to drop some chocolate that she had stole from the boys pursuing them down the never-ending hallway, with a swift motion of her hand a gleaming, searing white light enveloped her hand and the doorway in which her dark equivalent as heading, that was it. the door had expanded and now was a perfect shape for their bodies. Dashing straight through the door just in time for the revenge ridden people behind them to catch up finally and start banging heavily onto the mahogany door frame.

"FOR THE LOVE OF THE ECLIPSE WOULD BOTH OF YOU PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR" Axel screamed, uncomfortable that he and his best friend were standing in a royal hallway, without their boots, shirts or any formal attire, but his friend Nathaniel who had no problem standing half naked in the hallway, unaware that more royal guards could come back at anytime and see them standing there.

"Come on Artemis and Lily-rose, you know we could get in MASSIVE trouble for not having the proper attire during guarding hours!" He continued, trying to persuade the cheeky girls on the other side of the door.

"Nah, I think we will hang out here for a bit putting holes in your boots and shirts and eating YOUR chocolate" Artemis taunted, sneakily hoping that the two boys would get in trouble for not having their formal guard uniform on.

"Yeah, I think I saw a pair of scissors on the table there, this is after all the sowing room," Lily provoked on.

"If you don't open this door right now so help me I will-" Nathaniel started.

"You'll what, break down the door with what, your manliness, or your swords or your what? magic? The royal guard took away your swords and suspended your power for a week for not using it responsible like you knights are supposed too!-" Lily continued, doing so she clashed a nerve of the two strong guys, Axel as the first whom broke down in tears whispering.

"It wasn't our fault, we were framed" He sniffed and Lily's heart broke, she just said one of the most fragile things to her secret longtime crush. The next person to brake down was Nathan, tears sliding without permission down his face, like raindrops down a window on a thundery day. Artemis could hear the silent sniffles through the door and her heart shattered just like her sister's did and realized what her smart but idiotic relative did and hurt the second most closest people to them.

Yanking open the door Artemis saw to two broken guys and enveloping Nathaniel in a tight hug, almost crushing him by the way, quickly chucking the boots and shirts to Axel while softly stroking Nathans hair while he choked up into her dress shoulder. Lily soon recovered from her shock at what she had done with her outburst and ran to Axel clinging to him and sobbing that she was terribly sorry for what she had done and like what Artemis had done and threw the chocolate bars at Artemis's back so she wouldn't hit Nathaniel and went back to crushing Axel.
