I rolled on my stomach, trying to get away from the horrid beeping that my alarm clock was making. It was the last day of school for me and also eight o'clock.
Wait!, today was the last day of school. Yes! My mom had promised to bring me and a friend of my choice (I picked Nicole Roth, also known as Nicky) the cafe down the block. It was new, and specialized in ice cream. Then we were going to Splash Village (a super awesome water/amusement park) with Nicky's dad.
I climbed out of my bed. I opened my closet door and spent like twenty seconds looking through my closet. Sure it was the last day of school but I wasn't going to spend the entire morning just searching through my closet. I picked up a yellow sun t-shirt and worn out shorts. I examined myself in the oak framed mirror that hung a little to the left of my barue and started noticing what my mom meant when she said I was really growing up. Probably an inch or two taller and my hair definitely grew longer.
I pulled my curly locks up in a high ponytail, hoping that this process was finished by eight twenty leaving me ten minutes to get to school. I jumped in the backseat of my mom's car swinging my backpack over my shoulder and pushing a piece of toast in my mouth.
