A small child with long auburn hair stood in the doorway of her house. Her eyes were a deep blue, and her body frame was fragile as a nearly dead rabbit. Only just at age 8. She stared at the silver van, which left the driveway in a rushed manner. The child had woken up to the loud screaming of her parents, who never bothered to even look at her anymore. Her parents used to take care of her and spoil her any time they had the chance. Now her parents couldn't even look at her or even acknowledge her existence. They always screamed and yelled, fighting over the littlest things. Clear, Crystal-like tears formed in her small eyes. The child watched as her mother drove away, never to be seen again in her life. She turned to her father, the tears starting to run down her face.
"Daddy?" She spoke in a small, shaky voice. Her dad looked away from her, once again ignoring her. She stared up at him for a while. "... D... Daddy!" She yelled, wanting him to acknowledge that she was still there. She screamed and yelled, the tears running down her face, almost like a waterfall. "DADDY WHY DON'T YOU LOOK AT ME ANYMORE?!!" "DADDY I'M STILL HERE!!!!" No matter what she said, her father didn't seem to care. Eventually, he finally turned to look at her in sheer hate.
"Adeline Cecil Janvier! If you don't shut up!!" He screamed at her in anger. He left to the master bedroom, leaving the child in silence. Adeline was her name. Adeline stood there, a pained look plastered on her face. She buried her face in her hands, her body shaking. Adeline quietly cried. Slowly, she fell to the ground. Crying in silence for hours, cursing at the universe. 'I want to run away..' She thought to herself. Eventually, it became dark outside, the clocks reading 8:30pm. Adeline was staring at the roof of the house in the entryway of the house she lived in, lying on the floor. She slowly got up, walking to her bedroom where she locked herself in for two years. She stared for a little while, and walked to her bed. Lying down on her bed, she fell asleep, hoping it was all a dream.
~One Week Later~
Adeline stared out her bedroom window, waiting for her mother to one day return... Only to start crying once again. This continued for 7 years. Eventually carrying into her High school years.
