Isn't Modi's government cheating people by just giving names to Congress' schemes and proclaiming it to be their's ?

Let's say you bring Virat Kohli to replace Dinesh Karthik in the batting lineup. Kohli is going to play the same game of Cricket as Karthik. The selectors didn't bring him to play football or dance Kathakali in the cricket field. He is not going bat with his feet, just because Karthik kept the bat in his hands.Modi also follows the same Constitution, works for the same Republic of India, uses the same Lion capital emblem, salutes the same flag, goes to the same Parliament and also works with the same body of IAS officers. You are not going to do different things for the sake of doing differently. Continue the good things and be different only where it matters.Karthik and Kohli play the same sport and belong to the same team. They are not playing against each other, but to improve the score of Team India. The selectors brought Kohli just to play the shots better than Karthik and execute the plan better. He is going to play the same cut shots, pull shots and leg glance - just connect better and score faster. The same thing in politics. We brought Modi to execute government's programs better and not to reinvent the wheel. We want to him to score faster and execute better than the previous guy. This is why we are a democracy and the previous guy played for the same team too. That means Manmohan continued what Vajpayee built [whether nuclear India, SEZs or golden quadrilateral] and Vajpayee built on what Rao & Gujral left. They are all playing for the same team and it would be criminal to just throw out previous government's policies just because they are from a different party. It is by the execution of shots that we should judge Modi. And that is where things are getting better. Swachh Bharat program has far better traction than Nirmal Bharat - the difference between Kohli's leg side shots vs. Dinesh Karthik's [not that Karthik or Manmohan are bad, just not as good as their successors]. Inflation is contained and foreign policy is doing well. Digital India is moving far more wider than mere Aadhar card.If Kohli were just scoring one extra run per over than Karthik in the end it could be the difference between defeat and victory. That is what we should be looking at. And occasional boundary like this: [Modi's program entering guinness book].In short, if Modi is continuing Manmohan's right programs it is by design and it is how it should be done. This is how taxpayer money will be conserved and we will move steady. Our focus should be on how well Modi executes these programs - not all programs are executed well and that is where the criticism should fall.As a final shot, I will take on some of the programs mentioned in the question details:Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan was started by Vajpayee [not Manmohan]. It started well, but by the end of Manmohan' term, it was a massive failure. . In his I-Day speech Modi pointed to its failure, before saying what he will do new: JNNURM was a massive failure and the government practically ended it before it left. - It didn't go much beyond providing new A/C buses in some cities. Smart City program has a much bigger ambition and not restricted to providing buses. The SEZ idea again started in Vajpayee's government in 2000 and MMS made it a law in 2005. However, it was another failure, not going much more than real estate development. - Make in India is built on top of the SEZ concept, but goes beyond just real estate - focusing on making approvals easy and identifying key industries. In case of Direct Benefits Transfer, while it was started in 2013, it didn't get much traction as the people didn't have bank accounts. Without bank accounts how would you transfer money? That is what Jan Dhan Yojana fixes and created a Guinness book of word records in creating maximum number of new bank accounts. In case of a Digital India, it is tying up the mishmash of digital governance drives in the past, with more emphasis on digital literacy and broadband availability. Then there is [improving pension access to the poor], a new accident insurance [], new life insurance scheme [], new village development scheme [], new Microfinancing bank [], , and so on.. There is a new national level waterways plan that has not yet passed Rajya Sabha [ -It is not in the discovery of new ideas/schemes that is the problem of the present or the past governments. But, in execution it is.
