"Dean, please, don't leave me ,hang in there, please ,I'll do anything, I'll polish the impala, I'll buy you all the pie you want, just please, don't leave me."

Dean reached out his arm and held Castiel's hand. "Cas, I..." But the rest of the sentence did not escape his mouth, as his eyes fluttered closed and his heart stopped beating.

"Dean, no..." Cas searched for any signs of living, a pulse, a gasp of breath, something.

But he knew, Dean was gone.

Tears started pouring down the angels face. All the memories they had made were now flashing before his eyes. They day they met, surrounded by fireworks. All the demons they had defeated. All the good times, bad times. It wasn't worth it without Dean.

Then Cas had an idea.

He reached for the angel blade in his trench coat pocket and held it up against his chest. He took one look at the angel blade, one look at Dean, dead in his arms.

He pushed the angel blade into his chest then.....

He woke up.

It had been a dream, A bad one at that.

He quickly turned around to see Dean sleeping peacefully, thankfully not dead.

Wiping the sweat off his brow, he checked the time, 6.30, time to make breakfast. Even though he couldn't eat it he enjoyed cooking, as the process was entertaining.

Quickly slipping on a t-shirt on he headed to the motel kitchen and started cooking bacon and eggs.

As he cooked he wondered if Dean felt the same way he felt. What was that emotion called? Love, yes. The closest they had gotten was sleeping in the same bed whilst on a hunt, even though Cas didn't need sleep.

He had just finished cooking when he heard footsteps. He turned around to see Dean, shirtless and sleepy.

"Morning Dean."Cas said, eyes diverted to Dean's chest.

"Is that, bacon I smell? Dean asked, sniffing the air.

"Ah, yeah, help yourself."Cas said gesturing towards the bacon and eggs.

Dean took three quarters of the bacon and one egg and started eating. Cas couldn't help but look at him the whole time he ate, everything about Dean was so, fascinating.

Cas kept noticing Dean's little quirks the longer he looked at him, The way he chewed his food with the left side of his mouth, He noticed all the different shades of green in his eyes.

"Um, Cas?"Dean asked.

"Oh, sorry i must have, what do you call it? Drifted off for a minute."

"Right..."

There was an akward pause.

Cas couldn't handle it for longer.

He sat in front of Dean, and just looked into his eyes for a minute or so.

Then he kissed him.

And to his suprise, Dean kissed him back.

And at that moment, it felt like they were the only two beings on earth.

Then Dean pulled away.

"Cas, wha.."

Before he could finish, Cas ran out of the room. What had he done? He knew he had no chance with Dean, so why on earth did he kiss him? Well, Dean had kissed him back, but that could've been out of shock. Building up his courage,, he went back into the kitchen to talk to Dean.

Dean sat, staring at the wall, expresionless.

"Dean, i'm sorry I didn't mean to, I just couldn't keep in my emotions, I love you."

Dean just looked at Cas for a while, then said:
"I've been waiting 5 years to hear those words from you."

Cas then hugged Dean, tears of happiness rolling down his cheeks, for finally someone had loved him back.
