My footsteps echoed through the hallway as I ran as fast as I could to the highest floor. My school was small and it wasn't going to keep me alive, but I'm not dying without putting up a fight. I am not giving up! EVER! Breathing heavily I turned a corner and reached the last stair case I could go up. Large rushed footsteps were taken as I quickly went up the stairs. Finally reaching the top floor I sunk down into the corner of the large room. My knees came up to my chest as I rested my head on them. My hands clutched my brown hair sticky from sweat and my panting crushed the silence. I'm the last one, the only one, alone and trapped in this school. There's no where to go, no-one to go to...because...they're all gone...dead. Refusing to let tears race down my face I looked to my right. A large glass pane blocked my path to the staircase...well water. The small yet vicous waves thrashed around and attacked everything in it's way. Sighing, I relaxed and let my knees drop and my head fall back...waiting...just waiting for the cracking sound of the glass breaking from the pressure of the water, or the sensation of water flowing onto my lifeless looking body. This is it, the end! I slowly closed my eyes, letting the fear seep into my emotions. My breathing stilled and my thought seased, until CRACK! Shards of glass came flying at me, pricking any part of my body it could, then came the cold, unsettling, thrightening sensation. The water came rushing in, making me feel numb. I guess it's time let death take over....so I did, I let go...
