Not That Complicated

Chapter One-

I loved him. That's all you need to know before I begin my story. I loved him so much. You know how when you are a kid and they tell you that's the greatest love we have is for our children. Well, honestly I loved him more than that.

        His name was Mathew and the year was 2017. I had decided to go to college at Oxford. Monsters didn't hang around in England a lot.

   I had heard that someone important was coming to go to college there too. But I didn't care too much I still had my mind on camp and my brother the first few weeks I was there.

I moved my things in on a Sunday and that's when I met the man who would be my future husband, very briefly.

  I was carrying a box in front of me and couldn't see where I was going when I basically walked straight into him.

"Sorry, sorry, I didn't see you there."

"It's alright I Should have been looking where I was going." He said while he helped me pick up my things. I was surprised no other guy would help pick everything up, they would just mutter a sorry and walk away.

"Are you from America?" He asked.

"Yeah long Island, it's in New York." I paused "Sorry I'm Channel. You are?"

He looked stunned, "You-you don't recognize me?"

"No should I?"

"No it's refreshing to meet someone who doesn't know me." He smiled. " A bunch of my friends and I are driving to the lake tonight, want to come?"

"Well.." I didn't want to be near water if I was just meeting someone, I didn't want to move again. Bout then again he was hot, and British.... "Sure"

"Great, here let me walk you to your room."

"Thanks,I was having trouble carrying all these boxes, so you never told me your name?"

"P-p Mathew."

"Is it p-p or Mathew" I said playfully.

"Mathew it's Mathew."

"Doesn't seem like a very British name."

"No but my parents wanted something different."

"That's cool what are you majoring in?"

"Greek mythology with a minor in economics"

"No way!" he looked scared.

"What?"

"I'm majoring in Greek Mythology too."

"Really? we should have a bunch of classes together then."

"Yeah, well this is my room, see you tonight." I said hesitantly.

"Yes I'll pick you up here tonight."

"Just one question?"

"Yeah?"

"Will there be any swimming while we are there?"

Mathew smiled, "Lots."

I smiled back "Perfect."
