Kimm Min-seok (Hangul: 김민석,Hanja: 金珉錫; born March 26, 1990), better known by his stage name Xiumin, is a South Korean singer and actor who is a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy group EXO and its sub-unit EXO-M.
EARLY LIFE
Xiumin was born in Guri,Gyeonggi Province, South Koreaon March 26, 1990. He was a student at Catholic Kwandong University where he attended a seminar and gave a presentation for students in Applied Music. Xiumin also went to the same high school as INFINITE's Dongwoo. Xiumin trained inmartial arts and is proficient in Kendo, Wushu,Taekwondo, and Fencing.

In 2008, at the age of 18, he was cast into S.M. Entertainment after winning second place in the S.M. Everysing Contest. Xiumin was the seventh and oldest member to join EXO member following a joint teaser with Kai on January 26, 2012.

In 2013, Xiumin was featured in the music video of "Gone" by Lovelyz' member JIN, alongside actress Kim Yoo-jung. In January 2015, he starred in the S.M. Entertainment musical School OZ, playing the character of Aquila alonside f(x)'s Luna SHINee's Key,Suho, TVXQ's Changmin andbRed Velvet's Seulgi. In October 2015, Xiumin was casted to play the main role in the web drama "Falling For Challenge" with Kim So-eun. He also released his first solo OST "You Are The One" for the drama. "Falling For Challenge" which became the most watched web drama in South Korea in 2015. Xiumin will be making his big-screen debut in the historical movie "Kim Seon-dal" in 2016.
