Once upon a time in another universe was a world where there where people like you and me. But among these people were the "Broken ones". The Broken ones are those who are born with demons in there body instead of inside there souls.

There were many of these people, but none lived happily. And that's where we meet our main characters Mix and Daniel.

Mix was friendless like most broken ones. But the difference between her and them was that she had something most broken ones didnt have and that's hope.
Mix hoped to find friendship, to find trust, and to find love.... She wanted to love someone and be loved. She wanted a story like her parents.

Daniel was an ordinary broken one. He had no hope like Mix. He had no dreams, he had no trust he had no wish to find love. He had a very common thing. Reality. He knew that his reality was the only thing he could believe. And his reality was that he would never have anything.

But one day that all changed...

School had ended for the broken ones. And mix was walking home with her demons at her ankles. She kept a smile on her face despite the dark clouds. It started to turn darker.
"oh no it might rain... I should quickly buy an umbrella!" Mix took out her phone and texted her mum saying she might be late and headed off to the supermarket that laid on her way home.
Just as Mix was about to enter the market she left someone pull bet back by her bag and she fell backwards on her butt.
"Hey! What was that for?! " Mix yelled as she got up and dusted off her uniform. She looked up to see it was the popular girls from her school.
"what does it matter to you? You're already surrounded by bad luck. If I do something to you then nothings new. " she flipped her perfect light brown hair and walked into the market. But not before patting a sign that said "no demons". Mix sighed and changed direction.

She had walk only a little by the time it started to rain. She covered herself with her hands, not that it helped, and rain for the nearest building.

Mix sighed as she sank down along the wall and curled up her legs. She saw her phone died because of the rain and could inform her mother or father that she would be extra late.
~cough cough~
Mix quickly became aware that there was someone else who had also taken shelter here.
Maybe they have a phone I can borrow! Mix thought.
She looked around the slight corner of the building and saw a boy about her age slumped by the wall. She saw demons dance across his legs and ankles.
Mix gasped.
The boy quickly turned his head to see Mix and covered him self with his hoodie and tried to hide his demons under him.
"No! I didn't gasp because of your demons! I mean I did but-thats not why--hey want don't go! " Mix cried as the boy stood up to leave.
Mix grabbed the back bottom of his hoodie.
"please let me explain! I only gasped because I have only seen female broken ones. I go to an all girls school. I was just shocked. Please stay. " Mix gripped his hoodie tighter.

Slowly he sat back down and let his demons out, but kept his hoodie on.
Mix sat down beside him and pulled his hoodie off and let her own demons out. The boys eyes widened when he saw them, but then relaxed.

The two of them say there quietly in the rain under the safety of the building as their demons began to play.

Mix slowly fell asleep.

She woke to see the sun shining and see that he head was resting on the boys shoulder. She lifted her head up embarrassed and asked him the time. He simply showed her his watch.

An hour has passed. Mix saw that her demons had called asleep as well answers being taken care of by his. She blushed imagining herself as the demons and him as his.
She turned to him.
"What's your name? " Mix asked quietly.
He answered after a few seconds of silence.

"my name is Daniel. Yours? " he turned to her and blushed at how close they were.

"i-i am Mix." she turned away blushing harder than before. And so did he.
Finally after a few moments of silence Daniel spoke.

"I like how my demons play with yours." he slowly placed his hand on hers. "Do you? " he forced her face to turn to him.

"I do."
