Kira POV
"Come on, Kira! We're gonna be late! " my bestie, Ella Hillview called after me
"Jeez! Can you slow down... I just woke up..." I yawned
After five more minutes of running, we finally got to my high school, North Wintertide High. It was a newly built high school. BTW, we're freshman, and there still is like 5 more months of high school *GROAN*
Luckily we got to class right on time. I'm not kidding, we got there the minute the bell rang. We're lucky Miss Maple was late, or we would be dead by now. Today we had science in the morning. All was well until this announcement came;
Principal: Students we are now in a lock down, there is a man in here with a gun. Please follow all lock down--- AHHH!
*gunfire*
Unknown: Hello, kiddies, tell me where you are NOW!!!
We all ran to the back of the room and Miss Maple went to lock the door, but suddenly a man came in shot her right in the head. Her blood splattered all over the class, as her lifeless body slowly dropped to the ground with a thud.
Then chaos erupted. We all started screaming. The man started shooting. He was insane... I was in such a shock, that I didn't even notice him pull the trigger aiming right at my face. Then it was all a blur. Later, after falling out of my trance, I saw blood on my school uniform, not mine but.... Ella's...
"no..." I mumbled "No!" I said a little louder "NO! You killed her! You bastard!"
That's when i snapped. I grabbed the nearest beaker, smashed it and impaled it into the man's gut, splattering the man's blood onto my clothes in the process. I dropped down onto my knees, and started to bawl my eyes out... I just lost my best friend and took someone's life. That's when I blacked out.
