Finally

Chapter two

School was longer than usual since I couldn't get what happened off my mind. After school Hope had volleyball practice so me and Harrison went to McDonalds to wait. I ordered some fries and sat down at our usual table. I look over and I see Julie and Adam sitting a few tables away. I just can't get a break today can I. When Julie wasn't looking Adam waved slightly and I waved back. I saw Dustin come in. Dustin was a friend of ours, and also Hopes crush.

"Guys I need your help" he said sitting down next to Harrison.
"What's up Dus?" I asked him using the nick name I made when we had just met.
"I've been thinking a lot lately and I like Hope, like as more than a friend but I don't know how to ask her out" he said. I could tell her was serious because he was jumpy.
"Oh I have an idea" I said after a couple minutes
Since Hope got out of Volleyball practice at 4:30 and it was only 3:45 now so we had plenty of time to set it up.

I drove us to academy and to dollar general. We got a black sharpie and wrote 'Hope, Will you be mine?' On it. By the time we got back it was almost 4:30. I parked and we snuck through the back door. I'm also a volleyball player but I skipped practice today because I hurt my shoulder last game and the coach told me to sit a practice or 2 so it could heal. I had already texted all the girls except Hope and told them when we walked in to kinda move out of the way. When we walked in me and Harrison stood next to the other girls and Dustin came in after us.
"What's going on?" Hope asked looking straight at me. I smiled and pointed at Dustin. He had the ball behind his back.
"Hey Hope I got you something" he said walking up to her. She furrowed her brow and smiled.

He handed her the ball and she read it.
"Wait really?" She asked. He nodded and she jumped in his arms.
"Of course I will Dustin!" She said and he kissed her cheek. I awed and hugged her.
