Lovecraft park

It all started on my 18th birthday, at Lovecraft park. Where my friends and I usually  go to skip rocks and hang out.  When we got to the lake in the center of the park, my friend Ricky picks up a smooth, flat rock, and said in a confident tone " I bet you guys that I can make this rock skip the lake 5 times ".
" ok how much you betting for " Carly said walking in front of Ricky in a sassy stance.
" 20 dollars why you think I can't do it Carly?" Ricky replied still feeling confident.
" Ricky you can't do anything that you bet on and you even know that so this is going to be easy cash" Carly said with some more sass.
May I note that Carly and Ricky aren't the type of friends who make friendship bracelets. No,
They are the type of friends that make bets and they are  very, very competitive when it comes to money. Ricky usually will lose those bets and Carly gets tones of cash, she can make a living on how much Ricky will bet on.  So this is going to be quick.
"Oh no, you guys can't be serious, your betting over  a rock ?" Danny said with a sarcastic tone.
" yes Danny... We're betting over a rock  is there a problem with that ?" Carly said while looking at Ricky with a smirk on her face and hold out a hand so that the bet is official.
"No just betting over a rock going across the water shouldn't be so high on the pot" I said
"Yeah but I know I'm going to win this time as you should know I am a pro at skipping rocks" Rick said in a cocky way.
" ok that is a total lie" Carly said getting in Ricky's face.
"No it's not, look, how about I show you by winning this bet right now" he replied competitively
"Ok do it then ...win " Carly spates at him
As I know that this was part of "the ritual of the bets" that this is when Carly gets Ricky competitive and do the bet.
"Fine I will" Ricky spates back. Once he said that he spun his arm like a professional baseball pitcher and threw the rock as the rock skipped we all counted out loud "1...2...3" then after we said 3 the flat rock stopped and and sunk into the dark waters of the lake. We all stared at each other, then suddenly we stared hysterically laughing nonstop "what NOOOO that's unfair..... Guys it's really not that funny..... Stop it " Ricky said in an disappointed and annoyed tone. Carly , still laughing she held out a hand and (still laughing) said "20 dollars please "
"Oh shut up Carly" Ricky said while getting out his wallet and slammed two ten dollar bills into Carly's hand .

Once everyone calmed down, Danny said in a calm but fun voice and a smirk on his face;
" So the night is still young, what do you want to do now", as everyone looked at me.
" why you guys staring at me for?"
" well it's your birthday remember?" Carly replied like it was obvious, which it was.
"Oh yeah sure um.... How about we walk a trail like .. Umm ...." I looked around looking for the closest path possible then I saw one " like Damian's path" I said with no idea what they are going to think.
" sure I'm up for a walk" Ricky said shrugging his shoulders.
