She glances at him; her lips carve a smile
As he makes his way through the aisle
His eyes slide past her; she looks away.
He notices and hides his dismay.
Finally he catches her eye; his widen in shock.
Now she doesn’t look down; their gazes lock.
It’s as though time has stopped, frozen in a spell
Only broken at the chime of the bell.
She bolts out of her seat and out of the door
Her cheeks flush as she goes—eyes glued to the floor
However she cannot deny the little flutters in her belly
As she turns at a corner and stops, feeling her legs turn into jelly.
He follows her out the door, sees her disappear out of sight.
He smiles, secretly wondering if his intentions are right.
He doesn’t quite understand. All he knows is, his happiness is her existence
And that it is enough for him, just to admire her from a distance.
