Breath is like wind.
Always present, never noticed.
Until it's gone, and the absence is strange.
And you have memories of it kissing your skin.
But it's gone.
Touch is like fire,
Rarely present, always noticed.
But when it's gone, you feel empty.
And you have memories of sweet warmth.
Pain is like ice.
Chilling. Deadly.
And one slip up can ruin you.
And ruin those sweet memories,
and past visions of great glee and love,
Become only nightmare and sorrow.
Bittsweet midnight ramblings on a soiled page.
I wish I could forget.
Forget your breath on my skin.
But I've always had a hard time letting go
And the only real way to learn is to dive right in
And God, I wish I wasn't like this.
I wish I didn't cause this.
But things never were the same.
And change is what we get.

PoetryLook, it's 7 a.m. and I'm just trying to work shit out and I remembered I had this thing and fuck. I didn't put a huge amount of effort into this and it's kind of bullshit but who really cares, huh?
