(This is not a true story)
I refused to step out of are car. It seemed like I was daydreaming. I mean who would of guessed that one day you would be having the best time of your life, and the next day you will never be able to have any more fun because of one decision.
Her name was Malary. She was the most fragile, outgoing, energetic friend you could ever have. She was the one who made you smile everyday and remind you that there was still some good in this world. But, all of the good has seeped into darkness once again because she isn't here anymore. She won't be making someone smile after they got a bad grade, or making the class laugh at a silly comment she made. All of this would be lost because of a stupid decision a person made. Her friends will forever miss her, and their hearts will have a spot of dark in them filled with hatred for the one person who caused all of the sorrow and pain.
So here I am sitting on the edge of my seat in our car unwilling to move, for if I do I don't know if my legs will support me, or if I will tumble down onto the cement because of the weight grief has thruster a pone me. Eventually I step out of the car and trudge my way into the town's funeral home. I walk down the line to head towards her coffin and I break down unable to go any farther once I reach her younger sister who had looked up to her and admired her. She was grief stricken because she understood what had happened at the age of six, and she realized that she would never see her beautiful sister Malary again because she was dead.
Malary and I were out with friends when one friend suggested that we ride over to the lake to watch the sunset. We all walked along the side of the road making sure we were a safe distance away from the cars when headlights suddenly lighted up the trees to the side of us. I was utterly confused because there shouldn't have been any headlights facing that way. It took me three seconds to realize that someone was about to hit us with a car. I screamed loudly for everyone to get out of the way, and everyone did, but Malary who came sprinting towards me and pushed me out of the way of the on coming car. She took the hit and died instantly on the spot. The driver was passed out in the car. One of our friends dialed nine-one-one, and policemen and ambulances arrived at the sene. Malary was classified as dead by the paramedics, and the driver was uninjured and only passed out. A policemen gave us a ride home as they investigated the sene, and told us that they would be visiting each of us tomorrow.
Later that day the policemen came by and gave us some information on how the accident happened. They said that the driver was drinking and driving. He was underage too, and had just got his temps. They say that the crash was an accident, but how could it be when he had to of learned about the consequences of drinking and driving. What must we do to get teens to understand that these things are real and actually happen without having them be the cause of the trouble to begin with. The driver took many lives with the one accident. Even though only one life was truly claimed he took the happiness from every soul who held Malary close to their hearts. Malary didn't deserve to die like that for she had done no wrongs, but her fate was decided by one decision. The decision to drink.
