I Decided that it was time to move out. I was excited, my family was heart broken...

I walked down the stairs, past the living room, and into the dining room. It was time for dinner. My younger sister Lucille walked into the dining room, "excuse me Delia", my favorite nickname, Delia. "Uh-huh", I stepped aside for her to get into the kitchen. "Oh, hello girls", mom smiled. "Hey mom", I walked into the kitchen and sat down next to my old black dog shadow. "Can I talk to you?", I asked her. "Should I step out for a moment or...?", Lucille, my twelve year old sister asked kindly".
"You don't have to if you don't want to", she nodded and smiled, "I'll stay".
"M'kay" I smiled and turned back to mom. "I'm..uh..planning on moving out." I spoke looking into mom's brown eyes, her expression was hard to read. Sad? Happy? Mad? I didn't know. "Oh, well have you found a house yet?", She tried to sound upbeat but, she ended up sounding pretty depressed. "Yeah! I found this old house near that river I love to go to!" I beamed. "Wow..", Mom nods. "Wait, your moving out?!", Lucille spoke, she sounded very heartbroken. I just nodded in response. "Wha-- why?!".
"It's hard to explain", Mom answered for me.
And that was how I told my family I was moving out...
