Our escort, Galaxy Starr, walked on to the stage. Glimmer smiled and couldn't help laughing I mean really gold hair and fifteen inch high heels that has to hurt. "Welcome, Welcome" Galaxy said in her high pitched Capitol accent "happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor" Glimmer thought oh they will be if I get reaped, I mean I did put my name in there more times.
"Before we proceed with the reaping," Galaxy said "we have a very special video all the way from the Capitol!" Right then a video started playing, the same video that we watch each year. Glimmer paid no mind to the video instead he thought about what Cashmere had said about it being a show and to make it entertaining. Oh I will Glimmer thought right as the video ended.
"That was wonderful" Galaxy shrieked "now down to business. Let's get the female tribute first." Galaxy walked over to a fish bowl looking glass and made sure to draw suspense by waving her finger around and dramatically opening the sheet that had the name on it. Galaxy smiled as she read the name aloud "Glimmer Diamond." Glimmer smirked and walked to the stage and gave a charming smile when she finally reached the stage. "Oh I love your dress" Galaxy exclaimed "thank you I made it myself," Glimmer replied and flipped her hair. "Okay now for the boys" Galaxy walked over to the fish bowl that contained the boys names and drew a boys name "Marvel Charm" she said.
Marvel, Glimmer thought this should be easy I beat him in training almost every day. Marvel walked on the stage and Glimmer could see the shock on his face but to Glimmer's surprise when Galaxy asked if we wanted to give up our spots Marvel had said no. "Okay then shake hands you two" Glimmer smiled and grabbed Marvel's hand and dug her perfectly manicured nails into his wrist. Marvel slightly winced and Glimmer smirked knowing that her message was revived. "Well District One you now have your tributes Marvel and Glimmer." Peace Keepers came and escorted us to the Justice Building and made sure we wouldn't escape. Glimmer laughed at the thought of someone trying to escape this wonderful game they were about to play.
