Maylie Callahan lives with her mom and older brother in a condo thats 900 square feet and in a neighborhood thats not so great. She goes to Oakwood High and loves the beach. She's friends with anyone who wants to be her friend but has only two close friends.
It's a typical Friday night with one of her best friends Brianna over when it starts.
First it was a low, deep, rumbling that not even the dog detected; Like just before a tsunami wave hits land. CNN news is on and I go to flip the chanel to Teen Wolf or FX but stop.
The low rumbling was now noticeable and the water on the night stand had ripples going through the top.
"Somethings wrong. Brianna, call your mom and see-"
But i never did get to finish my sentence. Because as I turn back to the screen, CNN was showing live footage.
The bombs started dropping.
And our state was their target.
