I grab my hair in frustration as I'm eyeing my closet. Why didn't I go shopping over the summer? Now I have to wear some piece of shit clothing. I empty out my closet, hoping to find something actually decent to wear to my college orientation. It doesn't take long before my very impatient best friend, Jared is pounding on my door. Did I mention that he's impatient?
"HURRY UP! What's taking so long?!"
I frown. "It hasn't even been that long and I can't find anything to wear!"
"That's it, I'm coming in."
"Wait no-"
Jared cut me off and opened the door. He looked at me and started laughing.
"What happened to your room?!" he manages to say in between laughters.
"Shut up." I grumbled.
He scans my bed looking at the clothes.
"Honestly, it doesn't matter, just wear that dress." He says pointing at a floral skater skirt.
I grin realizing the outfit building into my head."Yess and with that white crop top and with my Converse and-"
Jared coughs. "UHM, sorry to ruin your moment but we're gonna be late if you don't HURRY UP."
I shake my head smiling. "Right." I stare as I realize Jared isn't gonna move. "What are you doing? Get OUT."
"Are you serious? We've been best friends since kindergarten, you can't seriously be scared to show me your body, besides I've got," he pauses to lick his lips and evily grin at me."Beth."
I roll my eyes at him.Boys. "I've seen the way you treat women, your not gonna get away with hurting Beth, she's plain evil."
Jared laughs. "She's evil in bed alright."
I cover my ears. "Gross! Don't tell me what you guys do."
His eyes land on my clock."Oh fuck! Seriously you need to change like NOW."
I smirk. "Okay mom." I wait for him to exit my room and to my suprise, he does.
I change real quick and put my hair in a ponytail. I look at myself in the mirror and smile at the results. As I leave, I shout out to my grandpa real quick so he knows I'm leaving.
"GRANDPA, I'M LEAVING."
He looks up from his newspaper. "Be good," then he glares at Jared. "I expect you to take good care of her boy."
Jared grins."Yes sir."
I roll my eyes but can't help smiling. "Your gonna make us late."
Jared rolls his eyes. "Says you."
"Race you to the car."
"Already five steps ahead of you."
And we run.
