"Aria!" cried my mother, "Get up your going to be late again! Brook will be here in an hour and I know how long you take!" I groan. "I'm up, I'm up!" I yelled back at her. I got up, showered, and put on a tighter tee-shirt, sweatpants, uggs, and then put my hair up into a messy bun. The doorbell rang I knew it was Brooklyn here to pick me up. I quickly put on my glasses, of which I hated, but I was too lazy to put my contacts in today. After all it was Monday. I grabbed my backpack and ran down the steps to greet Brook. "Good morning Aria." Brook said happily. Brook recently entered a relationship with a guy named Landon and ever since she has been real perky and it's beginning to get on my nerves. "Do you always have to be this perky?" I asked once we got out to the car. "Do you always have to be this grumpy?" She replied. "Fair enough I suppose" I said. "So anyways, tomorrow night Landon and I are going on a date. Landon is taking his friend along and he wants me to bring a friend. I figured your single so why not take you. So what do you say?" Brook asked excitedly. "I'm not interested in boys or dating them!" I said "Oh come on!" She begged, "It'll be fun just try it! If you don't like it I won't nag you to go again." I groaned,"Fine, but you definitely owe me one!"
I got home from school that night and I decided I needed to find something to wear for my mystery date tomorrow. I finally found a beautiful blue dress that went down to about my knees and some brown sandals. "Aria," my mother said startling me,"What's the occasion?" She asked. "Brook wants me to go on a blind date with her and her boyfriend tomorrow evening." I replied. I saw my mothers eyes light up in excitement. "My little girls first date!" She exclaimed,"Go get him" she said as she patted my back. My face turned bright red. "Mom!" I yelled. "I have no interest in boys or dating, I'm just doing this for Brooklyn! She said if I try it and don't like it I don't have to ever again." I said. "I think you'll more than like it" she said. "I think you'll love it!" "Sure." I said long and sarcastically. "We'll see about that when the time comes." I thought.
