Life can be really hard in Middle School, all of this peer pressure everywhere, all of these horomones, feelings, it sucks. I should know better than anyone. Me? It is for both your's and mine own safety that I keep my identity a secret for now.
I suppose I should explain the people in more detail, there is Kaden, athletic, skinny, and tall. Popular among many groups of friends. In my opinion he has one major problem. He changes his behavior when he's with some of his friends. For example, his friend Josh, he completely changes, from a nice guy to one of those people who will talk about you behind your back, and doesn't care if you hear.
There is Kayla, short, athletic, all around hilarious and super nice. She is absolutely in love with Kaden, and Kaden is in love with her, but among Kaden's groups of friends, some of which don't like Kayla, he thinks it would ruin his reputation to ask her out.
And then there is Ryan. He is one of Kaden's best friends and also really good friends with Kaden. Because Kaden changes so much around different people, he is a very hard person to figure out. That's where Ryan comes in. He has a strange ability to get to know people really easily. And he can figure people out with the blink of an eye. But Kaden is hard for even Ryan to figure out.
Kaden stares at Kayla all the time in Math class. He looks away if they make eye contact though. Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be telling you a story, aren't I. Well let's do this then.
. . .
When he arrived at school he saw Kayla there, she blushed and looked away when he looked at her. He got off the bus he went to his locker, which was very close to Kayla's. As she came to her locker she nervously hid her face inside as she put her stuff away.
"Hi, Kayla." He said
"Uh, hi. . ." She said nervously and quickly went to class.
In 4th period, they both had math together. They had to review the expectations.
"Here at Amber Creek Middle School, we expect you to blah blah blah blah blah..." Mr. Barington's voice was just a blur, he was staring at Kayla. Kayla looked over at Kaden and he nervously looked away.
"Kaden?" Mr. Barington said.
"Uh, yeah?" He replied, a little discombobulated.
"Make sure you're paying attention, please."
"Yeah, uh. . . Sorry." He mumbled.
A few of Kayla's friends laughed but Kayla was too busy staring at Kaden to laugh. He stared back and smiled.
Ryan looked over and beamed. He talked to both of them a lot. Kayla the most. Ryan was a very energetic person, and hilarious. He had a unique personality that really couldn't be copied.
Kaden smiled at Ryan and then remembered he was supposed to be working in his textbook.
He grudgingly pulled it out and started searching for the answers to the question sheet. Kaden wasn't very good at math. He was more of a sports kind of person.
. . .
The bell rang. Kaden jumped out of his seat to go to Health, which he also had with Kayla. He zoned out again
Kaden walked up to his locker, and Kayla hid in her locker again.
"Hi, Kayla". He said.
"Uh, hi..." She said softer than before
Kaden got his things and looked back at her as he walked out of the building.
