Breathing in deeply I make my way towards the mat my teammates cheering me on.(watch video girl in the red sports bra is her)The music starts and I go front tuck,round off, triple back handspring,back tuck. I land then start off again front tuck,round off,double full stop. Continuing my routine I here my best friend scream out,"Get it!"
Once I finish my routine my teammates rush over giving me huge hugs nothing but smiles evident on our faces.I tighten my pony tail and stretch my arms a bit once they step away.
"Alright Braylynn your next," Coach calls out,"nice job Carson."
"Thanks coach,"I grin stepping off of the mat so Bray can go,"You got this Bray!"
She does her routine (girl in the purple spandex in the video)only miss stepping a few times."Okay everyone you are dismissed see you tomorrow."
"Bye coach,"we say simultaneously then rush off to our bags to pack up.
"Car do you need a ride?"Mali(MA-LY) asks nudging my side as we walk over to get our bags.
"Yeah sure thanks Mal," I reply pulling my joggers on and slipping off my cheer shoes.
"No problem!"
I pull out my phone and text Nash that I should be home in about 30 to 40 minuets."So Mal do you want to spend the night tomorrow Nash is going out with some friends and I'll be home alone with Zan and you know how I get when I am home alone I -,"she cuts off my rambling.
"Of course I'll come over." she giggles.
"Thanks Mal," I sigh,"your the best."
"C'mon Mom's here."
We walk out to her mom's black SUV and plop down in the back,"Hi momma Chloe."
"Hi sweet heart how was practice?"
"It was great Car perfected her routine, and at the rate that the team is moving we will win the comp this next weekend and make it to worlds this year,"Mal answers for me .
"That's great girls I love how dedicated you two are."
Mal and a give each other quick glances then say,"We are cheerleaders from bows to toes Ma," in unison.
She chuckles as we pull up to my house,"It was nice to see you Car you should come over soon!"
"It was nice to see you too Ma and I will thanks for the ride bye!!!!"
"See you tomorrow at school Car bye,"Mal calls out the car window.
I open my front door to find 9 boys screaming at the living room TV two of which are my siblings.
"Nash I'm home," I whisper to him kissing his cheek.
He pauses the game getting a few disagreeing comments thrown at him,"How was practice?"
"It was great I aced my tumbling pass and all of my team hit there stunts perfectly," I gush ignoring the confused stares of his friends.
"That's great now go and do your homework."
"Alright see ya," I say to him then walk up the stairs and do all my homework. It took until 12 but it was worth it in the end.
