March 5th 2014... The day my mom started doing drugs and began abusing me. My dad has been dead for nearly a year and after that she turned to drugs.
I was sitting in my room listening to the radio when suddenly my mom walked in with a blue rubber stretchy band around her arm (what they use when they take your blood) she had been shooting up.
"H-hey mom" It was obvious to her that I knew what she had been doing.
"Shut up Avery" she said slapping me across the cheek earning a shock of pain.
I looked up at her and let a tear slip down my cheek "W-what did I ever do to you?" I ask trying not to sound frightened
"what did you do to me? Let's see your the reason your father is dead! Your a worthless piece of trash and I wish I would have aborted you when I had a chance!" She said grabbing a fistful of my hair dragging me to the ground
I felt her foot come in contact with my stomach and I began spitting up blood as the tears streamed down my face.. After a while she had finally quit "Suck it up buttercup" she said in a bitter voice.
I sniffled and she left. I stood up holding my rib cage calling my best friend Ryan
****phone call****
Ryan: "hello?"
Avery: "c-come get me"
Ryan: "I'll be right over"
I quickly hung up and put on new clothes and walked out side whimpering softly with each step I took waiting for him to pull up.

We arrived at his house and of course he began asking questions.
"What happened?"
"Is everything okay?"
"Do I have to kill some one?"
"It's my mom" I mumbled under my breath covering my hands with my long sleeves "she kicked me around like a rag doll" tears rolled down my cheeks. "I think she broke my ribs"
Ryan sighed and grabbed his car keys "come on AV we're going to the emergency room"
I nod and stand up slowly and winced in pain following him to his car.

"Avery come on back" the nurse said.
I stood up with Ryan's help and followed her. "Avery what happened?"she asked in a concerned voice
"O-oh I uhm fell down stairs" I quickly lied although I'm a horrible liar.
"Right..."said the nurse giving Ryan a glare.
Ryan sighed and opened his mouth" her mom beats her...and has been beating her for half a year now."
