8 a.m. came way too soon for Elle Brooks. The alarm screamed in her ear; she reached for her night stand and slapped at the alarm clock. "Ugh, why couldn't I stayed home and just been a hair stylist? But no; I had to go out all alone to freaking New York to be a designer." She spoke to her self and her cat Lucifer. Which in reply Lucifer just meowed at her and padded to the end of the bed. "Wow, your help; you sour puss."
Elle rushed through the shower and quickly dressed. She fixed her hair and grabbed her make up bag so she could work on her self in her car; on the way to work. Elle rushed down to the lobby of her apartment building and out the front door. Her driver was patiently waiting next to the open, back door, and checking his watch.
"Miss. Brooks, you are sure are pushing it this morning." The driver said plainly.
"Yes, I know Martin. Just please hurry.." Elle said as she slid in the back seat.
"Yes ma'am. Please don't forget to buckle up." Martin sarcastically smirked.
After a fifteen minute ride they finally pulled up in front of her building.
"Thank you so much, Martin! See you at lunch!" Elle exclaimed as she stuffed her makeup bag into her new, personally designed glass purse. She bolted from the car after Martin opened the door and made her way to the main doors.
Elle went through the carousel doors, an all of a sudden her back was pushed by the swinging door. She went lunging forward and spun around then made contact with another person. Causing Elle to drop her purse; that was made of glass.
"Miss, I'm so sincerely sorry." An English, male voice said. Then the man bent down and helped her pick her stuff up.
"Ugh, it's whatever. I have more..." The annoyance grew inside her. But she bottled it up and made eye contact with a gorgeous; blue eyed man with brown hair.
"May I ask your name?" He smiled with perfect teeth.
"My name.. My name is Elle Brooks." She stuttered. He looked taken back a little, and surprised.
"Brooks, as in the owner of E. Brooks designs?!" His eyes grew in size.
"Yes, and you are?" Elle said as she stood up and brushed her self off.
"Prince, Prince Thomas Richmond. And I'm so sorry Miss. Brooks." He said with pleading eyes.
When he said the word prince; Elle about fell out. She had met royalty before so he shouldn't be any different.
"Miss. Brooks, could you show me the elevators. Please?" He didn't wait for her to react to the news of him being a prince.
"Yes. Mr. Richmond, right this way." She walked him over to the costumer elevators.
"Sire! Sire! Please wait!" A tall, and blonde man said as he ran to our side.
"Oh, Miles. I'm sorry, I totally forgot; I conveniently left you at the coffee shop." Thomas said with a smirk.
"Miles? Oh my gosh! I haven't seen you in years!" Elle exclaimed, and hugged Miles.
"Ellie? What have you been doing?" Mikes asked.
"I've just been working, a lot. Why did you leave the university?"
"My grandmother was very sick; so I had to go back to England. Oh, and I read that in a magazine; about your business taking off."
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I had no idea."
"Ellie, it's okay. I didn't tell anyone. I thought it would be better to just leave and be quiet about it." Miles looked disappointed. And Thomas looked sad.
"I'm sorry to bring it up. Here are the elevators." Elle nodded then walked off to the private elevator.
Once the elevator shot to the top floor it dinged. The doors opened with a spring and Elle stepped out with pep in her step. She tossed her broken purse on her assistants desk.
"Allison, do something with this mess. An, do I have anything important lined up?"
"Actually Miss. Brooks, you do. He is in the waiting room; he needs to be fitted for a tux." Allison said from looking at her computer.
"Okay." Elle walked out of the office to her fitting room.
