Our Love

Childhood/intro

I have always been friends with Tate Andrew Blackwood. He's the love of my life. I'm crazy about him, and he drives me insane. I'm crazy for him, and better yet, he's crazy for me.
Now let me tell you our story.
       
         When I was four my dad left. My mom had stayed with me through thick and thin. My dad? A druggie, that hooks up with hookers every weekend. That's why we left, he stayed. I was born and raised in Sedona, Arizona. My family is over on the other side, with my dad. He probably had told them lies about the fight.
He came home late, drunk and smelly. She was alone again, tired and cold. He hadn't been there for her, and had been drinking, and god knows what else. He came into my room, and told me to go to bed, and to lock my door. I was confused but did so anyway. After, I heard my mom scream. Something I NEVER want to hear again. I cried, and shivered. She ran looking for a weapon, he was trying to kill her. He had been to drunk to be himself anymore. That's all I remember, he probably woke up in the morning and shrugged it off like everything else in his life.
We made it out. I'm thankful for that. And when we moved to Orlando I found my best friend Tate. A blonde haired boy that loved sports, and had a soul of gold. We hung out everyday, and he never asked about my dad. That's what I loved about him. He was there for me, when I needed him. When we became friends it opened a window that I couldn't open myself. Freedom. He lightened up my world.
On my 6th birthday, we were already enrolled into an elementary school of arts. That school started my education off right. It set me on the right road, and same for Tate. We were inseparable from then on....
When middle school came, we were still neighbors. We didn't have any other friends, it was just us two. Together forever.
     Now it's highschool. And this is the story of Tate and I.
