Kaylee is a shy girl. She's a freshman in high school. She goes to school for the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs. She tried out for Color Guard and made it. In Color Guard she made new friends. Her friends are Presh, Jo Jo, Aria, and Yesi. She has had a problem with bullies since the 6th grade. She thought the best part of high school was going to be that her bully Lane wasn't going to be there. She is 15 and she lives with her parents and her little sister Naomi. She always hated her parents because she felt that her parents favored her sister over her. She felt this feeling that this year was gonna change to be different.
Justin was a popular, out going 14 year old. He was the boy that everyone fell for at his school in Toranto. He loved his friends Chaz, Ryan, and Christian. When his mom Pattie applied for a job she didn't know it would lead her and her 16 year old son to move to Texas. When Justin finds out that his mom isn't going to take the job because she wanted to stay in Canada so he could finish school he pushed her to take the job. She accepted the job and Justin was happy for her but then he realized that he would have to move some where that he has never been before. He didn't want to leave his friends but he wanted the best for his mom so he moved with her.
