It was around three AM when I decided that there was no way I would be able to sleep. I let out a groan and slipped out of bed. Man, I want milk. I thought .

I slowly walked down the kitchen and tugged open the fridge doors. Ooh Milk! Yummy yummy milk! How I love thee! Suddenly, foot steps sounded from behind me. I stealthily sprinted out the kitchen doors the lead to a beautiful white and blue terrace. It was the terrace where my mum and dad had there wedding reception on. Tears leaked from my eyes, and I took off into the dark, and ominous woods.

"Who's there?" A voice called from the darkest part of the woods. I snuffled a whipped my tears choosing to ignore the voice.  "Who's there?" The voice deepened with anger as the repeated theirself.

"G-Giovanna V-Violet." I stuttered, sniffling back sobs.

"Giovanna?" The voice called, shock clear in the voice.

"Who wants to know?" I asked trying-and failing- to sound strong.

"Connor Violet" The voice cracked, sounding sad.

"Connor's dead! Who are you really? What kind of sick thrill do you get from saying thet you're my dead brother?" I sobbed, dropping to my knees.

"I'm not dead, Giovanna! I promise. I have to go, but I swear to you, I'll be back." The voice promised before retreating deeper into the Dark Woods.

"WHY?! I screamed at the heavends, sobbing on my knees. "WHY ME?" Sobs raked trhough me, and I eventually fainted on the icy wet wood-land floor.

The sunlight greeted me the next morning, along with a warm body hugging me. Yawning,Istretched expecting to hit my pillow. Rather, my hands hit a moss cover rock. What the? Then,Iremembered the prior nights events.

"Morning, Princesse." A very familiar voice whispered in my ear.

"Calvert, what are you doing here?' I tried to hiss, but my voice was thick with grogginess and tears.

"I heard you screaming so I came running. When you fainted, I caught you before you hit your head on this rock, and fell asleep holding you." His voice held something that I couldn't quite decipher. Longing? Lust? Love? Protectiveness? Maybe a combination of all of them? Yes, but why?

"You don't have to do those thing, you know?" I said blushing and glaring at the dew coved leaves.

"Yes I do." He murmured taking my face in his hands, and forcing me to look him in the eyes. "Princesse,  I am very sorry for what my family did to yours. But that doesn't change my feelings for you." He whispered, his hot breath tickled my face, causing me to shiver.

"Feelings for me?" I asked bewildered.

Taking a deep breathe, he looked directly into my eyes "Princesse I really like you." He told me. I gasped and stared at him in bewilderment.

"Y-y-you do?" I stuttered blinking, biting my lip, I avoided his gaze. My entire body was braced for him to laugh in my face.

"Princesse, look at me." He murmured, tracing my face lightly with his thumb. Shaking my head, I focused on a stone that was shining brilliantly in the Autumn mid-morning sun. He moved so he was kneeling before me, blocking the stone. "I do." He told me passionately.

Beaming down at him, I managed to trip over a rock when I tried to get closer to Calvert. I blushed and looked down focusing on a red leaf to hide my blush. Two warm fingers gently moved my chin so I was forced meet their gaze. "Has anyone every told you that you quite lovely when you blush?" He murmured, a wondrous light shone upon his face, illuminating his gorges features. I blushed harder, and bit back a smile.

"Has anyone ever told you that you talk like a really old dude?" I replied trying not to laugh.

"There's the Giovanna I know!" Calvert exclaimed.

I froze. "Princesse?" Calvert whispered anxiously. "What's the matter?"

"That is the first time you said my name." I hoarsely said, awestruck.

"Huh," He began, his tense shoulders relaxing. "I guess it is." I smiled weakly and turned from him, wiping a stray tear.

Standing, half hidden behind a huge spruce, was Connor and William.  "See you." He mouthed anddisappeared deep into the dark woods.

"Be safe"  Willie mouthed.

Tears welled up, blinding me, but I still managed to mouth, "Suck it!". He smirked again and walked away. 'Kay, so, I'm officially insane. I mean, what sane person see's dead people?
